- Skyrim may be an eight year old game, but thanks to it’s impressive modding community The Elder Scrolls 5 is able to remain a very relevant title. Indeed, every week dozens upon dozens of new mods are uploaded to the Nexus and Bethesda Net, some are minor bug fixes, others are DLC-Sized overhauls that take the player to new lands and worlds. 2019 has been yet another great year for Skyrim mod creators and users, so what a better way to end it than looking at some of our favorite mods? Sit back and relax as we explore five of the greatest Skyrim mods that defined 2019.

@@ysmirwulfharth4012 There's something about having links to the rest of the world prompting google to demonitize the video. I don't know the details because they're very close to the chest with that kind of thing. If you look at Nate's earlier mod vids, they DO have such links.

It would be nice to put some Vorpal Butterflies here and their.. slightly different color, 500 hit points and they have one attack, 10% chance of decapitating the player character... like the Vorpal bunny from a certain British movie...
I’m just still shocked that this game is still so popular it can have a Top 5 new mods almost a decade later.
Well it's easily the greatest game ever made even without mods. So it's not surprising that this many people are so passionate about it.
To be fair, it could have a "top 5 mods" for each day of the year. On average Special Edition alone gets about 20 new mods every day.
To be fair, if you check out Mario 64 romhack community, they have an "e3" for mods.

By the way, you should try using the QuickRanged and QuickShield functions rather than cycling if you want to switch from melee to ranged and back quickly during combat 😉

Carved Brink's world spaces seriously make you question whether or not you're playing Skyrim
too bad the story was horrible to understand :( the environments were sooooo good
@@DylanVlogs2003 I got lost way too many times. Spent more time using that jumping spell in giant circles than actually exploring the place
It sucks that such beautiful world design was wasted on a mod with such a horrible and dull story :/

Because they want them to move to Maryland and many of these mod authors live overseas.

@@Mal.Ka1 I agree but even the ones in the USA may not want to relocate. I had a friend who applied for a position that was listed as remove work only to find out after being hired that he was expected by the company to move from where he lived in Oregon to Maryland. Moving across country costs upwards of 25,000. Not to mention uprooting his whole family. He turned down the position. If Bethesda would just allow for remote work and utilize the collaboration technology that so many other companies do then they could get better project builders.

I have been a console player all my life and I never thought that I would one day switch to PC. That is until a few months ago when I downloaded Skyrim on ps4. I fell in love with the game instantly and it motivated me to join the master race so I could play the game at it’s full potential with mods. It’s the best decision I have made in my entire life.

Enderal was also the sequel to the Oblivion mod "Nehrim: At Fate's Edge" which took place (in the games lore) 2 years after Nehrim.

You can, you simply create duplicate ESPs of every mod you have, except these are blank .ESPs that dont do anything.

Thanks for the mods it’s nearing Christmas and I’m hoping to get the pc version of Skyrim (the console version doesn’t have good mods that aren’t from nexus or take up to much space to the point where I can’t get another mod) and I wanted to know some good mods to download when I get it and this list will help me know what mods are a must when downloading.
And Xbox has a limit for data usage that’s pretty glitchy And pc doesn’t
That's awesome, if you manage to get onto PC and you've never modded on PC before then I'd recommend checking out GamerPoets and Gopher's tutorials. They really helped me out when I was new :)
This is late but PC modding isnt as simple as downloading and sorting your load order as it is on console. Make sure to look up good tutorials on how to

Wintersun completely changes your gameplay. Alongside Alternate Start, you are instantly immersed in your backstory.

The best mod includes having a dog and a companion able to follow. Skyrim logic Nope, only one or the other.
You can have both in vanilla.
If we had a medium armor classification, a lot of those armors from GAR would be good for that. Like if the original Gaurd Armor set was the light/medium light armor, and this new armor that is thicker would be medium to medium heavy.
My favourite mod of the year is definitely New Legion, love the armour designs.

Fun fact: TES Oblivion IV you could easily key bind any spell or usable item to key 1-8. Everyone hated it! Any streamer I seen installs iEquip does the exact same thing off the bat :p

There should be a mod that replaces Talos with Jesus and all other of the mainstream deities with Jehovah. I think it'd be interesting to see Skyrim's religion in a more familiar context. I know it'd screw with the story but I think just having the mod exist would make a lot of people happy.

Hi Nate, been following these skyrim mod videos for years. Problem is, sometimes, when I try to add another 5 mods to my list of 200, my game breaks. Surprising, right? Anyway, I was wondering if you've ever considered doing a video on how you troubleshoot your mod list when you get crashes and stuff, would be very helpful
For some reason Carved Brink seemed really broken to me... or i'm just a moron... I couldn't figure out half of what to do there... i beat the final boss guy in less than a minute, and immediately left and forgot about it...
Buffbud96 maybe go exploring. When it comes to mods there are infinite possibilities and things to find most of the time I just wander around Skyrim or any mod area and if I see something interesting I do it. If you do that you might find something interesting
You are not wrong. There is a lot of great stuff - but on the whole it feels unfinished. I attempted to play twice and each time different side quest either would not start or finish. And some of the areas feel a bit rough.
t acitus I mean that’s what happens when one person does a mod there’s a difference between a mod by one or two people versus a game made by a whole studio. I think that him even being able to make a game even the tiniest bit comparable to a popular Bethesda game very impressive considering the size of Skyrim
@@Mal.Ka1 that's the thing... I did explore, and I found space... but not much to fill that space. It felt like it was missing triggers for quests, it was missing content... it felt incomplete, and confusing...

The mod page uses the word tenet, the comments on that page only mention tenet. So, the mod itself didn't seem to confuse the two words, the creator of the video did.
I am so glad someone commented on this. I use most of EnaiSiaion's mods and love them. When Nate not only said, but typed, "Tenants", I lost my shit XD

my Conjuration/Sneak Build is Werewolf Thief with master conjuration spells includes pets and followers:
this build is pretty well rounded in the terms of magic and melee , in your human form you use different types of thralls to help you in battle if your caught by enemies or being a very sneaky thief and using Sneak attacks to kill your enemies., other side of this build is the Werewolf form which is complete melee and going fully berserk in battle, in your Werewolf form you can use your extremely enhanced Health and Stamina to maul your enemies, also you can use your wolf howls to summon more werewolves to help you in battle to make you even stronger. also remember to have a Followers and pets to back you up when your battling or even changing into your Werewolf form while your follower and pet distracts the enemies.
the Game plan for this build is you to use sneaky thief to kill your enemies if you get caught by them than you use your Conjuration spells to help win the battle, if you have your follower and pet with you your last resort could be using your werewolf form to finished the fight while summoning more wolfs to help you against your enemies.
No 2019, don't come to an end. It's a trick.

Honestly I love the look of the modded guard armors, but I can never make myself activate it. For some reason I'm too attached to the vanilla guard armors. Even the weird looking helmet.
I mod so many things to hell and back but for some reason I can't bring myself to mess with the Skyrim Police.
yeah I'm at a really high levels or have mods in Skyrim like all your other people right I need help how to find all these mobs and stuff right and do they cost money cuz if they do I'm not paying any sense just to download some mods
None of these cost money! You can find most of these mods by searching for them in the mod page found on the main menu when you load up the game. If you're playing on PS4 then there's a high chance you won't be able to find these mods sadly. If you're playing on PC then you can also go on the skyrim nexus which has even more mods on there. Just search up a video on how to download mods from there. Hope this helped

Enderal is great but it's clearly one of the rare case when it could use Skyrim Special Edition just for helping performances. Because in that. Perfs are really bad. But such a great game.

in oblivion when you enchant a weapon you can name it
I Dunno .-. Same in Skyrim.... Check the bottom of the screen on the enchanting screen/menu and it will say what button to use to rename it.
In Morrowind you can levitate. Can't beat that Oblivion and Skyrim now can ye?! Ha!
You can also fight underwater and cast spell with a sword and shield in your hands.
