As a kid whose house was near train tracks, this song always reminds me of of lying in bed in the darkness listening to the train's chugging along the lines.
Can't be, I just played that part earlier and there was only silence after you saw Salazar. Until you get the key and open the cage and release the Garrador, then HIS tune plays. This one doesn't play at that point.

This song definitely kills your appetite, because you feel anxious and nervous! Resident Evil 4 is the best game in the series... I never get bored of it!
Never gave it much thought. I believe that maturity is relative, ambiguous, and a lifelong journey. Perhaps I still have a lot of room for growth. Enjoy your day!
Ioannis Stf Sadly no. I remember my friend showed me this game in summer of 2006 and it was the ultimate horror/story experience. Now after many playthroughs and outdated visuals its not what it once was. But man.. playing this game for the first time back in the day was insane.

The day has finally come when I realize my appreciation of this game has transformed to something greater. I used to be able to motivate why I was so fond of it, but I have now come to another conclusion. I have become a fanboy. I used to shiver at the thought of it being a possibility, but as reality finally caught up with my delusions, I am surprisingly indifferent about that fact. This game has slowly seized to be a rational part of my life, and has entered a realm of divine immortality, where no criticism can ever hope to reach. My God, this game is good. If only I could find something as complete as this, I could die in peace. As for now, my journey will continue towards its nonexistent end, and I will remember this game as the absolute peak of my life as a gamer.
The fact that someone would write this is incredible. I came back recently to play again because of ActMans video. It's like a fine wine, gets better with age. Truly one of the best pieces of entertainment ever produced. Thanks for sharing.
Most people didn't notice but this soundtrack was also used in an episode from the TV series "Smallville". They changed few elements from this version to make it a little bit different but as a fan of this music myself I instantly noticed and was completely blown by it Season 4 episode 19 .... That's the one when Chloe sneaks into a building

It's also used in The X-Files Season 8 Episode 8. The exact track. And X-Files predates RE4, so no doubt this entire song (minus a few sound effects thrown in here and there to make it "original") was just part of a stock sound library. Which is crazy that they'd use something like that for this game. Makes you wonder what other great "original score" tracks are actually just blatant ripoffs.

im so happy to know that there are oher people like me who say that this game has to be the best game ever created. i played this game when it first came out on gamecube, then later bought it on all my Playstation consoles. i recently beat it on professional mode, and i gotta admit it wasn't easy but i freaking loved every moment of it. and i still llay the game on my ps4. and im only 16 years old..

I did my first full playthrough of RE4 a few months ago and this theme stood out to me. Makes you feel like a badass mowing down enemies with this theme playing!
Anyone else realize this track is very similar to the infiltration track from the first Red Faction game on the PS2? Only difference with the Red Faction version is the end has a techno beat to it. The infiltration track was also used in an episode of Venture Bros. Look up RedFaction OST- Moogathon.

I just noticed that the same pinging sound that starts at 0:14 in this video is the same pinging sound and melody that's pinging the TV series 24 in season 1 episode 3 at 39:30. Geez, I've always been pondering about that sound since it felt so out of place...
Best game of all time. Man, I've lost count of how many times I've replayed this game. Great story and characters, beautiful and creepy soundtrack, good controls and the pace in this game is superb. The atmosphere in this game is phenomenal. Highly enjoyable and there is so much replay value, new game+ runs, extra modes like Seperate Ways and the highly addicting Mercenaries. Resident Evil 4 really is the best game of all time.
I've never played a game as replayable as RE4. I usually don't replay single player games unless I really enjoy them and even then i dont tend to finish them. RE4 is another story, I will never get tired of playing it.

Still my favorite Res game... 6 was ok but 4 is just makes res the game it is, Leon is hands down the best character too and also the game actually had a bloody good storyline AND there was a good element of puzzle and you had to put thought into killing instead of just shoot a lot like you do on 5 and 6 :/ Oh along with all that awesome soundtrack :D

This game made history. For good & bad. Good: it is a horror action game, with scary moments and so much suspense. Bad: It is not a survival horror like the 1, 2, 3, Code: Veronica & Zero.

@lordphil01 plus his double kicks and knee attack are pretty much one hit kills for the normal enemies,and his knife stuns them almost every time he slashes them,basically he is the best character to use,however he is not with out his flaws,for example his bow is single fire,so if a chainsaw is right in your face and you happened to miss her head,you're done.plus he only gets flash grenades and his arm takes 30 sec to recharge and glow red again.But he is still really cool.

RE 4 was one of the few RE games that didn't have crappy music - barring the "Ashford Lullaby", which is epic, classic stuff.
RE5 soundtrack was great too imo

This song fucking gives me chills... I remember playing this game on the wii when I was like 13 (8 yrs ago) and I used to be so terrified in certain sections, ild leave the game for a week or two before I came back to it, a friend of mine finished the game for me instead :p

This game made history. For good & bad.
Good: it is a horror action game, with scary moments and so much suspense.
Bad: It is not a survival horror like the 1, 2, 3, Code: Veronica & Zero.

This game most certainly had survival horror. You just didn't experience it right.
The puzzles was the main thing in olds re... and well, the game is scary but no survival horror. I know the game was/is badass.

I mean, I felt as though it was quite scary in the sewers and at night. But go for a challenge run. Starter weapons only. That can really make things feel at ends.
I dont understand how it's not a survival horror game ? It's maybe different but by no means it's worse than previous games of Resident evil series. Making same stuff over and over again is boring. Need something fresh and new , and they made this game. I think it was a success.
@lordphil01 plus his double kicks and knee attack are pretty much one hit kills for the normal enemies,and his knife stuns them almost every time he slashes them,basically he is the best character to use,however he is not with out his flaws,for example his bow is single fire,so if a chainsaw is right in your face and you happened to miss her head,you're done.plus he only gets flash grenades and his arm takes 30 sec to recharge and glow red again.But he is still really cool.
