I noticed the 2011 contest's top 10 were mostly voted based solely on their staging not on the vocal quality. That's why ballads from Finland, Lithuania, B&H were getting less points despite the performers' high range of vocal. I thought it's called a "song" competition!
but Armenia and Belarus did not make it to the finals with their productions, although if only the audience had voted, Belarus would have taken 7th place.
Now I will be hater. Everything is bad here. Performance, singer, song, backing vocalists. All. Russian worst entry ever. They didn't deserve to qualify! But it's too late to complain about this😭
ESC Fan the beginning of the song was good and he can actually sing, but the performance kind of ruined it. And it ended up looking like a slight copy of Eric sadde's popular and let's be honest, Eric sadde did it better. Maybe it wasn't Russia intention to come across as they were copying Sweden that year but it kinda looked like it they could have made it a bit more original, maybe better dancers, a better dance formation and better stage elements. They made a mess out of the staging to be honest and it's the one year where Russia had potential and they would have deserved a better placing and for once not being overrated. Either way they can always send him to represent Russia again at some point and since Russia staging gets better every year, all they need to do is send him with a good song but with an original and different sound and he could get Russia a good result. But in all fairness you can't be perfect at Eurovision every year. Someone has got to end up with a bad score at the end of the day.
