Maybe it will allow you to have enough clear thinking to know that it's stupid to go anyway near those things! Last I seen, it has been a while, those mechs are or are almost indestructible, lol. I seen a video where a large group of people tried taking one out. Multiple machine guns, grenades, c4, maybe a bazooka or rpg. I don't think they succeeded 😂. The only thing you can really do is not let them see you! Maybe they have changing things though.
Scum is unnecessarily detailed. Even if you're not getting a perfectly balanced nutrition in real life, you can still function perfectly fine for the most part.
@GraveyardShift26by perfectly balanced nutrition means actually measuring proteins carbs vitamins in diets although these are important you really don't need to measure each and everything just eat veggies fruits egg fish etc and you will be fine no one calls McDonalds normal meal only Americans do that a game forcing us to specific quantity of nutrients every day is useless and if it's survival game it doesn't make sense
That's what I don't get in many extremely realistic survival games in real life survival experts advise to use whatever you get and use it that means eating any edible stuff yes they aren't that nutritional but whatever makes you live more is important
13:29 another little detail is that on the streets of kuthemberg will begin to fill with horse dung but when it rains the streets will stay clean for a while
I am surprised that Elite: Dangerous didn't make the list considering it is a 1:1 recreation of our galaxy, with actual star types and having to plot a path and you can get stranded in the middle of nowhere in the Milky Way,
I like it when there's an optional mode for heavy survival, like the so-called Survival modes in many games. That way, I can turn it on and off or play on 'freaking hideously hard mode' at will.
Manage your metabolism?! My memories of gaming when I was young was playing the getaway and recovering from being shot by leaning on the wall for a few seconds 😂😂
What a great game it was though. The graphics for the time, the feel of London, the driving mechs, game play and the storyline was brilliant. Loved that your could play both roles the police and the criminals. Certainly a one off game. (There was a sequel but didn't hold a light to the og)
Another crazy thing about ready or not is that your teams mental health status changes depending on how you handle situations! A more Lethal approach makes them check out quicker vs a clean non lethal approach
Microsoft Flight Simulator is not even that realistic, out of the box. You have to add a ton of add-ons to get anything approaching real aircraft systems modeling.
Don't let it overwhelm you or discourage you from trying the game. The metabolism system is a little forgiving. As long as you're eating, you'll be fine. And even then, you will most likely die before ever worrying about your deficiencies. Heck, you can chug a bottle of oil and eat raw flour and you'll be fine (will have to poop more though.)
How is 2? I played the first game and liked it quite a lot (also got kinda burnt out/bored if I’m being honest, I’ve yet to finish the subway station lol)
Steve-z6p8d so video games are entirely realistic? I think one of the jump street movies got it right, channing tatum's character throws up after shooting someone.
The long dark hit for me the first time I ran outside at dark and a pack of wolves started a chase, just to find an abandoned car where I waited for a bit and continued later. Making fire and everything feels so right when righfully inmersed.
I have a stupid amount of hours in that game. The most community is great, too. One modder added candles and candle making, including adorable bear candles that you can find as prizes in rare food. I poked around every available part of Great Bear Island (so far) to try to complete my collection
@yey2wavy999if you google "the long dark mods" one of the first hits you'll get is a community run site. There it has mods, melonloader link, discord link (hella helpful and has a tool to check your mods if you run into problems running anything) "Candlelight" but caloriewaltz is the crafting candles one, and their food packs include the cure bear candles. This is why I have so many hours 😂 enjoy!
i have had the Long Dark since it was in early access over 10 years ago. originally it was just this awesome sandbox "survive the cold and elements" game (and you can still play the sandbox modes) but with it evolving into this really cool, almost Bioshocky story experience on top, its such a cool game. talking to the blindfolded woman by her fireplace, or finding the guy in the gas station and having a little more human connection really sells the game experience.
DCS World is nuts as well. An extremely accurate combat flight sim that requires hours of practice in each plane. Things like programming GPS coordinates into a JDAM and then deciding on what fuse you want to use. Air to air refueling with virtually zero hand holding.. accurate carrier operations. Definitely would love to see it covered in a list like this!
SCUM is so detailed that they forgot zombies isn't supposed to spawn on top of you. I don't know if that is still the case today, since I've stopped playing since last year.
You know what’s funny , you can build and repair real guns , take em apart , learn to fly a damn airplane . But if you ask car manufacturers to show their insights or damage models then you end up in court …. What a world we live in
This makes me want a survival game set in GOT. Ice and Fire going on despite you, random drop into the world and you gotta make it. Dream survival game.
Hell let loose is either hit or miss on fun. If you’re good it’s really fun but if you’re bad it’s one of the worst experiences you can have. Doesn’t mean I’m not buying hll Vietnam though
So I booted up Flight Sim last year on gamepass. I have never flown a plane. I've driven tanks and Bradley's in the army, amongst other things, but never a plane. I hopped in the tutorial plane, ignoring any on screen prompts, and I just looked around the cockpit. I found various things. The throttle , the fuel, and all the other things. I started flipping switches, not randomly, but according to their name. After a bit of trial and error, the plane started up and I took off the runway. I have the utmost confidence that I could really fly a plane in an emergency. Maybe not a jet or 747, but I think I can fly a plane yo. That was a really cool experience. To just figure out how to start a plane, with no prior knowledge, was really cool.
One of the hardest things about flying is being able to navigate to, line up with and fly down to a runway without being able to see it. Even if you're highly skilled at "stick and rudder" flying you're still good as dead if you lose visual contact with the ground and can't fly on instruments.
I downloaded Hell Let Loose on a free weekend one time. I spawned in, took a few steps, got shot by a squad mate who then flamed me in comms for not following orders, deleted it, and never looked back :D
Its kinda funny seeing all these separate games do things that Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater did all in one. Kojima is an absolute genius. Maybe idiot savant. Either way its crazy. I think Elden Ring was way too realistic. You're in an awful place, barely surviving, no clue what to do, and the first person you see goes "🤪👉 Haha! No b***hes!"
The Long Dark was a struggle. It took me awhile to come to grips with how to survive. But I stuck with it because I'm Canadian and it was just so cool to see the Canadian flag on buildings for a change. Once I came to terms with how to make the game work, it became really enjoyable. I got to a point where my character was skilled enough and had a good base established that life in the frozen north was just a relaxing journey rather than a struggle to survive.
14:00 Microsoft Flight sim has been used for many years to assist in real world pilot training. When I got my license I could do portions in the simulator like some of the long distance radio navigation, do the flight in the sim and burn it to a disc, hand it in to my instructor and I got the flight hour without having to rent an aircraft and my instructor for a 2 hour long boring flight.
1:44 dawg what’s a heathy metabolism gonna do against that mech 💀😭😭
🤣
Yeah realistic 😅… just one bullet and you are potentially dead in life
Sorry, no Felcon, just crap.
Be happy you died healthy
Monopoly is pretty good at simulating the fall of society near the end game.
Haaaahahahah......I'm so tired
it's missing the communist scheming though
@MadsterV just like real life
@fasterdaysSeriously? 😆🙄
Ive read that that was more or less the point of the game originally and it was called capitalism or similar.
Scum is unnecessarily detailed. Even if you're not getting a perfectly balanced nutrition in real life, you can still function perfectly fine for the most part.
But imagine how in better shape youd be eating healthier heartier food vs eating McDonald’s every day
@GraveyardShift26 exactly only most people are too ignorant for that we all are in some way or another
Yeah true. Son the player base will be boil down to some die hard fans.

13:29 another little detail is that on the streets of kuthemberg will begin to fill with horse dung but when it rains the streets will stay clean for a while
Hell let loose bro. Run 10 mins on the battlefield to just get 1 tapped from someone you didn’t even see lol
😅
I missed DayZ here… Run 4 hours not seeing a person just to get black screen out of the blue😅
Good summary of the game 😂
I play alot of hll and if it a walking simulator someone isn't doing there job either squad lead or commander
Highly recommend it tho to anyone tired of games where the skill gap is based on adhd movement. In HLL its actual tactics and coordination
I needed this video right now because I’ve had a rough day. Entered a Winston Churchill competition and came 2nd.
Close, but no cigar
Like you cosplay as Winston Churchill?
Did you drink for breakfast?
@cliftonwindham4194and then get a cigar for first place?
I’ll keep you in my thoughts and prayers
I agree thank you gameranq I also had a rough day because orange you glad I didn't say banana.
I think you forgot DCS ( Digital Combat Simulator World)
The Mafia Series where you have to follow traffic rules is a good one since it helped in making you familiar with the map.
I am surprised that Elite: Dangerous didn't make the list considering it is a 1:1 recreation of our galaxy, with actual star types and having to plot a path and you can get stranded in the middle of nowhere in the Milky Way,
4:43 I love it how you tell us this game is really "a lot of fun" right before a bear rips your guts out 😂
Didn't imagine CDDA would be on this list.
Ok Gameranx I see you!
I love it when games focus hard on realism. It feels like the ultimate simulator of whatever genre they’re going for.
👆🏻
I like it when there's an optional mode for heavy survival, like the so-called Survival modes in many games. That way, I can turn it on and off or play on 'freaking hideously hard mode' at will.
Manage your metabolism?! My memories of gaming when I was young was playing the getaway and recovering from being shot by leaning on the wall for a few seconds 😂😂
I loved that game/mechanic
What a great game it was though. The graphics for the time, the feel of London, the driving mechs, game play and the storyline was brilliant. Loved that your could play both roles the police and the criminals. Certainly a one off game. (There was a sequel but didn't hold a light to the og)
The Long dark.. been playing for almost ten years and STILL GOING. Love it man..
No dwarf fortress is wild. Its the craziest of them all x10
9:11 had us In the first half
Eve online “You are not ready for this game” Ok, thanks for the heads up. I’ll go and play something else instead😄
😂😂😂
You want to enjoy yourself? Nope. We'll kamakaze your hard-earned ship with our cheap crap ships because fun!
good call
Pbh, if you get ganked, its kinda ur fault.
(I am fully aware i am starting a war here, come at me!)
Hard pass on Eve Online
Another crazy thing about ready or not is that your teams mental health status changes depending on how you handle situations! A more Lethal approach makes them check out quicker vs a clean non lethal approach
Bonus to SCUM for having a Danny Trejo looking option for a character
Except it's paid DLC. So, not a default base game option.
3:55 that moose attack looks casually brutal ngl
No Arma Reforger?
Yeah that's what my comment was going to be.
Escape from tarkov is reforger on steroids xD
Missed: Rainbow Six Rouge Sprear, Operation Flashpoint and the ARMA saga
18:24 Was just getting engrossed in the realism and the dude jumped down 30 feet. Very realistic
Operator, War of Rights and Half Sword should've earned a place on the list.
I’m surprised DCS is not on here. But I am glad Microsoft flight simulator made it.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is not even that realistic, out of the box. You have to add a ton of add-ons to get anything approaching real aircraft systems modeling.
Nice variety!
Tarkov not being on this list is kind of crazy, but great top 10 nonetheless.
yeah i was hoping to see it
Dayz better! 🔫
@knowwhatimeme have fun with the walking sim
When you introduced Green Hell, I swear you were dropping bars
Maaaaan you didn't put up Project Zomboid?!
That game looks awesome. When I get a PC I will be playing that one for sure.
You can die from burnt food in that game
@brettfire83For sure dude. I warn you, youre gonna die a lot
It is a good survival sim but maybe they didnt because zombies?
Dude exactly my thought. You could completely remove all of the zombie elements and you'd be left with a pretty rugged life-simulator!
including hell let loose and not squad 44 is crazy work
You forgot that in Red Dead Redemption 2, horse balls shrink in the winter.
This is just a list of stressful games i play after a stressful day at work
crazy escape from tarkov didnt make it on here
Right? My god. I got that game, played for like three hours, died about a million times and haven't played since. It's freaking impossible.
Being pinned down by machine gun fire in hell let loose is an incredibly realistic feeling experience.
Amazing game
that was quite some resource management gameplay 1:03 in scum prob some of the most realistic ive ever seen in a game
Love seeing The Long Dark getting love
No arma reforger, no squad, no escape from tarkov?
It felt the video focused on half sim games instead of the hardcore ones.
+ Arma 3 , DCS
Now this is a channel that keeps realism too far!!
Has anyone ever met anyone who plays eve online in real life? I can't for the life of me find anyone out in the wild who actually plays this game.
I used to know a guy. But then he took an arrow to the knee :(
it's mostly a game for rich ppl, with enough free time and money to live a second life in the game.
I don't even know a friend of a friend that plays EVE Online.
One of my old bosses said he was hooked for years.
People don't really say they play it cuz it makes them sound like nerds
Receiver 2 sounds like it would be amazing in VR.
PowerWash Simulator 2 - You really are just using a jet hose... on a van... aluminum side paneling... whatever...
The Long Dark: Eat 6 rabbits you just hunted and still only be half full....
1:17 what's all that movement back there?
GYYYAAT
Buy some water, you’re dehydrated my boy
Got a diaper so you don't need to stop
The only movement we all like
That Gyat
Project Zomboid looks pretty in depth
The long dark hit for me the first time I ran outside at dark and a pack of wolves started a chase, just to find an abandoned car where I waited for a bit and continued later. Making fire and everything feels so right when righfully inmersed.

@manaash4316 Wait mods on the long dark?! Checking it out now haha thanks! Ill try to find the ones you mentioned too
Holy shit never thought about adding mods to my gameplay! I guess it's time to start a new run
@yey2wavy999if you google "the long dark mods" one of the first hits you'll get is a community run site. There it has mods, melonloader link, discord link (hella helpful and has a tool to check your mods if you run into problems running anything)
"Candlelight" but caloriewaltz is the crafting candles one, and their food packs include the cure bear candles.
This is why I have so many hours 😂 enjoy!

You mentioned Eve, Huzzah!!
I couldn't believe it didn't make your top 50 Sci-Fi games.
I like how realistic Max Payne is about how time slows down when you use Valkyr.
SCUM and Realistic are 2 words that do not go together at all.
What a world we live in
I wish Microsoft would remake Combat Flight simulator, had so much fun with that game back in the day.
I'm one of those dinosaurs that played Warbirds back in the 90's, and the 2017 edition currently.
I always ask that same question Jake especially after they ate a big meal. Lol
This makes me want a survival game set in GOT. Ice and Fire going on despite you, random drop into the world and you gotta make it. Dream survival game.
Skyrim
playing a merc in ASOIAF would be amazing
thats kinda what Kingsroad is, if Kingsroad were good.
1:18 Holy dumptruck Batman 😮
Arma or Dayz should be on that list imo
Lol
I don't want to have to balance my nutrition, use the bathroom, and worry about hygiene in a video game.
For a part two, definitely consider Arma, Foxhole, and Squad for some of that 'milsim' realism gaming!
Mentioning Hell Let Loose over Arma Reforger is absolutely wild.
Things looking a little too realistic on the Iran server right now
I was literally playing ace combat last night
Scum was a game created at a time when people wanted more of these games but is now ready where most are over this level of indepth gameplay
Hell let loose is either hit or miss on fun. If you’re good it’s really fun but if you’re bad it’s one of the worst experiences you can have. Doesn’t mean I’m not buying hll Vietnam though
👆🏻
Thanks for keeping the time stamps. Not for me to skip, but because sometimes I forget the title of the game😂😂
Wheres DCS? You actually need to be a military pilot or have full technical manuals on the actual aircraft to master that one.
They don’t have a tutorial??
Driveclub's nightly heavy snowfall was so on point on what it's really like driving at night in snowfall. Rain was very good also.
pew pew, KCD2 making a cutscene is reality
Great video!
Im at the start of the vid how realistic will it be maybe at the level you cant tell the difference to the game to IRL
The dream of every gamer since the 1970's - right there with you man.
you’re legend man
Elite Danerous with its details and controls for flying lets you feel like you are piloting the ships
Not even close
Resident evil should be on this list
Hell yeah Taz
Hell yeah Taz
One of the hardest things about flying is being able to navigate to, line up with and fly down to a runway without being able to see it. Even if you're highly skilled at "stick and rudder" flying you're still good as dead if you lose visual contact with the ground and can't fly on instruments.
@ecomotive6158today I learned. Thanks
honestly felt like one hour one life deserved to be on the list. its one of the coolest games ive ever played
Didn't go far enough. I could still see it. :)
I downloaded Hell Let Loose on a free weekend one time. I spawned in, took a few steps, got shot by a squad mate who then flamed me in comms for not following orders, deleted it, and never looked back :D
Red dead redemption 2
👆🏻
I was hoping Scum would be on this
Its kinda funny seeing all these separate games do things that Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater did all in one. Kojima is an absolute genius. Maybe idiot savant. Either way its crazy. I mean you really can do a lot of this stuff in Snake Eater. You need to eat. Some stuff is poisonous. You need to remove leeches and give yourself first aid, sometimes annoyingly so. Spinning snake in that menu would make him vomit. You could get stinky. The camo system and stealth system are unmatched to this day. I could go on man, just saying, MGS is crazy detailed in lots of various ways that are unique and fun.
Wendigoon made a really great video about Ready or Not
Star Citizen is really realistic. I am surprised it never made it to your list.
Never hit 1.0
@StaredownGamesYeah true and it may never do for another 10 years but credit is due where deserved.
Sharpened stick vs a fully armed robot mech 😮
To me Rdr2 does realism perfectly. You have to eat and sleep to keep your health up but it’s not punishing. I honestly thought the cores system was an absolute blast and I loved having to think about eating, drinking, taking a bath, etc. To me it always added to the fun of the game rather than detracting from it.
💯
Perfect balance.. that's just about as far as I want to go as far as survival aspects.. they nailed it for me.
RDR2 is entirely different from most of these... these are trying for realism. Rdr2 is for story and nothing else.
Outward hands down the Champ, doing a playthrough again. Nothing like waking up in a work camp!
I think Elden Ring was way too realistic. You're in an awful place, barely surviving, no clue what to do, and the first person you see goes "🤪👉 Haha! No b***hes!"
😂
@gameranxTV 😂😂
Worth mentioning....Robinson's Requiem.
One of the few games from the 90's where there's a plethora of ways to day if you enter somewhere unprepared
KCD MENTIONED RAHHH
I tried to get into the first one but found the combat pretty frustrating and hard to get used to. Maybe I should give it another chance.
@jimmymurphy898 ye you really should, in the beginning its quite unforgiving but later on it gets enjoyable and easy
I realize my type of game is literally all of these games I have spent a ton of time in, I guess you found my niche in this video.
" realistic " first game shows a fucking dude fighting a mech... c'mon.
The long dark is the most immersive and rewarding survival game i've ever played.
First lol
You bastard
Green Hell is shockingly accurate to rain forest atmosphere.
My favorite thing to do in ready or not is play with weapons hot. No witnesses.
Thanks for the video
Remember to light the fire at the cave entrance, never deep in the cave itself to avoid suffocation and falling rocks caused by the fire.
Glad to see EVE made it :D
Honorable mentions: Digital Combat Simulator, Falcon BMS
The Long Dark was a struggle. It took me awhile to come to grips with how to survive. But I stuck with it because I'm Canadian and it was just so cool to see the Canadian flag on buildings for a change. Once I came to terms with how to make the game work, it became really enjoyable. ready or not looks like the old swat series with updated graphics.
looking forward to try it.
The long dark is sooo underrated. Blackfrost is going to be LIT with multiplayer.
Ready or not always remembers me Swat 4
