I hope JR makes it to the Hockey Hall of Fame this time around (2020) after being passed up a few too many times. For the type of game he played he's very deserving of the honor.. 500 goals, 1,200 points... Yes, he doesn't have the silverware but only a few players do in the era he played in.. He was a hard-nosed player that could watch his own back if need be and still put up a PPG, he could grind and play a solid 2-way game, drop the gloves at will and that was not a common theme for a US born player back in the late 80's or early 90's - and I would bet my balls he has more than 10 "Gordie Howe Hat-tricks" on his resume. Unfortunately IMO, the standards are much higher for a US born player to get into the HOF than a Canadian.... I mean if Guy Carbonneau found his way then Roenick should be a shoe-in.... The Hall of Fame has become a joke, some of the most complete players are overlooked if they didn't play for the "right team" (a Canadian team NOT in Vancouver)... Had Roenick played 10 years as a Hab or Leaf he would have been a first ballot HOF'er, and I can say the same for dozens of players....... Ironically tho Roenick knows this, and that's why he regrets leaving Chicago..... Because if he played his career out in Chicago he would have been a first ballot HOF'er... Of course that doesn't change the fact Bill Wirz was a cheap prick that would have traded him anyway but that's a totally different chapter in that book all together.....
Met he and his business partner at Temple Bar’s patio area in Scottsdale. We would regularly hang out with him there, DC North or his home in the McDowell Mtn ranch area. JR is one of the nicest, genuine and interesting people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know personally, an absolute gentleman. I don’t know you but I’m confident he would make you feel like great friend and would find something to chat in depth about. Really can’t say enough great things about he and his wife. Great time’s, something I’ll never forget... pure class.
Wish he was right. Blackhawks should of gotten to the Cup Final in 2014. It was pretty obvious that the Cup winner was going to be Blackhawks or Kings that year. Just to think how close the Hawks were to a true dynasty. They would of had 4 Cups in 6 seasons with a 3-peat. Oh well, it is what it is. At least they got 3 in 6 seasons. Many upon many teams and fan bases would be happy with that.
I'm with JR - I respect Hatcher but I don't like him. Reffed a few games with him on the bench, & he was nothing but an arrogant asshole. I've done games with guys like Primeau, Briere & LeClair on the bench, & they were all really kind & respectful.

Crosby was a diver. He does it less now but to say that he was not is simply false
I am not a huge hockey fan. But JR fucking rules.
You tell them JR!
I wanna hang out with JR

I thought hockey in America got popular with the Broad Street Bullies...
Bobby Orr's knees are horrific.
Did he say Bobby Orr was weak kneed?
Yeah he retired because of how bad his knees got.
