  • More info about how I use this system on the go can be found on my blog here: www.tinkletinker.com/blog/unca...
I've had my Cobb Grill for over a decade, but some new accessories make a huge difference. This small portable grilling system is best on the market thanks to these recent innovations. There is nothing like hiking into some remote spot with this thing and cooking a meal. With these upgrades, Cobb makes a great portable system for daily meals at home, on the road, or at a camp.
Here I demo the Round Grill Grate Combo. This kit includes the round premier Grill Grate (not made by Cobb), Lifting Tool (really cleaning tool) and Wide Fire Grid (charcoal basket). This wide charcoal basket, along with the Grate are key. Before meat and vegies sort of stewed at best.
I've used this Grill Grate on camp fires to reduce flare ups. It also fits in one of the Green Egg Grills. It is a super versatile product.
I've also upgraded my old grill with the new adjustable flow lid and the kettle. The kettle both heats water and starts the charcoal faster and hotter. It is awesome to see that parts are compatible and available for old Cobb grills.

I've just bought the new rotisserie and I love it, I cooked a chicken using 7 Aussie beads and a rolled neck of lamb using 9 but I could have used 7 if I wanted I was just in a bit more of a rush, to be honest, I put my Cobb away after buying my Kamado Joe and my Davy Crocket Green Mountains Grill and although I love cooking on both I think the Cobb trumps them, its fun, portable, economical and gives great results, my wife said the roast lamb and roast potatoes I cooked on it was one of the tastiest dinners I have ever done.
I used to think of the Cobb as a good transportable cooker but with the new additions it's become a great transportable BBQ as well,
    Long live the Cobb

I agree! I loved the stock Cobb system for travel, but could not get the best results (compared to traditional grill). These new accessories really improve the quality of my meals. Also, It is super useful to be able to safely move the grill when it starts raining or when night falls.

I’ve had a Cobb for years and bought most of the accessories except the cutting board and rotisserie. I’ve never seen 450°F in the cooking chamber. I hope you realize by now that you used the kettle support upside down in your video. Other than that, great video. Keep on Cobbing!

Nice! I thought the new fire basket and lid with air control were only bundled with the new Cobb Air? Did you buy the air or did you find the accessories sold separately?
