Shark Ion Robot Vacuum - Dust Bin Error
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 4 ноя 2023
- In this video we take a look at this Shark Ion Robot Vacuum that gives an error for Dust bin not in place. We end up having to disassemble this vacuum to troubleshoot the Bin Switch. This belongs to a friend at work, its actually his daughters. It was received defective and I believe a replacement was sent out and they did not request the return of this defective unit. If we get it working it will keep this one from the landfill and hopefully be used for many years to come. This is the first one I have ever worked on, but was not as bad to get into as I initially thought it would be. Hope you find the video helpful and thanks for watching!

Glad I found this while I was on the phone with tech support. Saved me from spending $130. I bought a Shark vacuum from Costco, UR1100SRUS, in 2021. I replaced a side brush motor and after I got it back together it wouldn't clean because of "Please check my dust bin, Error #9" 😠. It doesn't have a switch, button like the one in your video. Just a tiny circuit board that has to be placed a certain way. it was on the same side as yours, but slides down along the wall the dust bin shares.
Did you happen to make a video of this? Haha
thank you so much for this wonderful video, followed the steps and robot works again
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Nice work. Enjoyed!
Nice Video!
Just wanted to add to it man, good video. This fixed mine. I have the matrix one and it's slightly different. It's more of a sensor than a push button and u can't see I unless u open it up. I did and cleaned it. Still had the issue, so I also deleted the robot reset everything and bam. With what u showed and a good hard reset it works again. Thank you sir
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
Not sure if anybody has ever mentioned it, but some upgrades to your audio quality would probably benefit your videos. Other than that, I do enjoy your videos!
Could one simply jumper the two wires together and bypass the switch?
It is possible for sure. Even a 1K resistor soldered across the contact pads. If it was mine I may have done that seriously.
