How the hell do you just slide into a C6 in pharyngeal? Bb5 is supposed to be like the highest. B5 you can do in head voice. Yeah, that was crazy. In general, I'm honestly not a fan of the original singer. I think your vocals were way better.
Indeed, you seem to possess a keen understanding of vocal techniques. As I've sensed previously, your inquiries carry depth even within concise sentences. While it's challenging to encapsulate in a few sentences, to provide a brief explanation. Generally, the vocal range and characteristics of Asian vocals differ slightly from those of Western counterparts, influenced closely by the linguistic nuances and accents we acquire over our lifetimes. (Factors such as accentuation for linguistic nuances and the intensity of vocal fold contact) The transition from mixed voice to whistle register and the upper limits of falsetto typically range from around C6 to C#6, with a shift to head voice(whistle register) necessary beyond D6. In essence, the ability to reach from A5 to B5, and even to C6, depends on the pressure exerted by the lateral muscles and the tension maintaining contact of the vocal folds. I can relate to this personally as well. It involves a characteristic where the condition of the vocal folds remains unaffected, while there's a slight involvement of abdominal and lateral muscles. With continuous training, however, these variables can be controlled, enabling a stable pitch execution.
@@RegainProduction Yeah, it's unsurprising to me that, given your ability and, obviously, general interest in vocals, that you also have a technical understanding of it. Excellent, as always - always a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for the extended response (I'm glad I inspired it, lol). It's always good to have a shared appreciation for the technical side of things as well as the emotional.
I have worked as a vocal trainer for a considerable duration, and I continue to do so presently. It's not due to any exceptional talent on my part, but rather because every endeavor in life follows a developmental trajectory, with requisite stages and processes that must be traversed, hence allowing me to impart knowledge from firsthand experience. A recurring message I convey to my students is, "What I possess inherently is not musical aptitude or sensibility, but rather an unwavering tenacity directed towards achieving goals." There are no naturals. (Though I hold this belief, there are occasional peculiar cases where individuals exhibit proficiency in whistle register sounds without any formal training or knowledge) Ultimately, one's proficiency is contingent upon the extent of study and acquisition in their respective field. Engaging in dialogue with you is delightful. I am grateful for your constant support and appreciation of my music!
@@RegainProduction We are made of the same cloth. I agree with you completely and am glad you share this view. Not at this time (unfortunately), but it would honestly be amazing if you can help me improve my own vocals. I've actually shared and had Siegfried try to help me once. I tried to develop a system to help him with pronunciation (obviously in English) but he got a bit upset (I guess understandably) so we never continued. To be fair, it was unsolicited on my part... May I ask why you stopped making your own music? It was incredible. (also why you don't consider perhaps other video components to your releases)
Firstly, although our life stories are extensive, to summarize succinctly, my personal projects aimed at the global market. There were three projects. 'AvaloniA' in the neo-classical progressive metal genre, 'MindPrint' in the semi-classical orchestral genre, and 'Time Concerto' in the neo-classical power/melodic power metal genre. Among these projects, 'TC' received interest from American management(first case in S. Korea), yet, as you know, our lives entail numerous constraints when it comes to global pursuits. While someone like a Mansur might not face such limitations, for individuals within the general scope, practical constraints were present. Furthermore, I had a first marriage with a Japanese individual and, subsequently, juggled various business endeavors while fulfilling commercial music orders. However, I couldn't allocate time to my personal music creation activities. (Given these projects didn't receive financial backing, dedicating ample time was challenging) Subsequently, members of each project pursued their respective musical endeavors. Queries regarding videos are periodically received. Fundamentally, within my value system, I consider visual information unnecessary for auditory appreciation. While visual information is effective for rapid and impactful information dissemination(for promotional purposes), allocating time for video production for vocal cover releases proves challenging and reinforces the decision not to produce videos. Moreover, while this is a personal opinion, I particularly prefer not to have my identity, especially my face, widely recognized. While recognition might lead to substantial profit thereafter, without adequate profit, life becomes considerably burdensome. As you know, in a country with limited space, this sentiment is amplified. (Because the face affects the appreciation and evaluation of music even though it is not the result of my efforts) I trust you understand the essence of my narrative.
