I don’t think the fear among execs is false though. If this game is woke it will still do fine (not like Concord) but still won’t sell nearly as much because there will be justifiable backlash. Video games are not the place for these politics.

I stated many times they went way too far with it and seemed to prioritize their identity politics over the actual game and how people would perceive it. As an artist let me be clear, if you buy the content that pays political activists that support views you disagree with then you are funding their ability to push their views further. By telling buyers to ignore the activists and just buy the content you're clearly telling buyers to fund views that the don't agree with. If you're a content creator then you should be looking at the social media presence of their staff and actors, specifically for political neutrality. That way you don't offend buyers.
If that actors views are not part of the final product and not part of the character they play or the story or final product at all, then are you really funding it?

Sorry to break it to you man but this is 100% NOT a spin off. Look at it as the move from the original Assassin’s Creed to AC 2. Direct sequel but with new main character, different story, similar base mechanics but with improvements and so on… It would be crazy to work on a small $40-$50 spin off like Miles Morales for 5 years
