- Tearing down the D330 engine out of our caterpillar D4D bulldozer. We don't find exactly what we were hoping for.

fill a yard sprayer with diesel fuel and spray the internals while scrubbing them with a plastic brush. That should clean it pretty good. then flush it with diesel before filling with oil for the first time.
what happened to the engine? did it get run with antifreeze in the oil or was it water or was it run out of oil. those rod bearings look pretty bad. for all the work of pulling that engine out I would get the crank turned and put all new bearings in it. leaving those lines on the crank might not be a good idea
The tractor was left outside with exhaust uncovered and rain got in it. We don't think it was ever run with contamination, just sat like that. We are still working on the engine though. The project just keeps getting bigger, haha. I'll have another video out later this week and more to follow shortly after.

yeah we figured that we probably shoulda did that when it was outside but we didn't think about it until after it was already in the garage.

Buy the d4d caterppilar 60j engine and put it in this place because it is much better than this one do not bother renewing it
