10:57 "Hopefully my recording software isn't doing the thing where it breaks up and starts putting like a fuzz over the audio. My microphone's already crappy as it is. The video's probably gonna be unwatchable."
Intelligence is important for skill points per level. Agility is too low while perception is too high. You can offset perception just by improving skills in the relevant weapon skill. Fast shot is vital for keeping AP low as possible, targeted shots are mostly useless, especially if you get the Sniper perk. The Sniper perk is also essential, with a luck of 10, you have a 100% chance of always dealing critical damage. Generally I avoid maxing out stats to 10 because a lot of stats can be permanently improved later anyway.
Fast shot is useless because there is no need to grind deathclaws to lvl 18 even when playing normally, while aiming eyes is like 70% crit chance, that's why alien blaster works so well. Don't need agi 10 because he uses psycho to bump it to 10, 10 end to make it more reliable, 10 pe I guess to shoot better since he doesn't need any other stats, and if he's constantly high on psycho his int is going to be low anyway, for a quick run like that it's pretty much perfect.
woah dude at 15:30 you said chems permanently change your special stats and if you start a new character when taking drugs on the current one, your new character will have the buffed stats, is that really true? Because if so im about to go start a new game and exploit the hell out of that.
not sure if it was mentioned, but why dont you choose any perks as your leveling up? I know the build doesnt need it but would it have a negative effect if you picked perks? *Currently following this guide*
One of the numerous odd quirk's of this dude's choices and opinions include the philosophy that perks are for suckers or something to that effect. He muttered it several times how they're unnecessary or pointless or a scam or something.
How is your game going so fast? I just recently started playing the first game, and the enemies move so slow and the attacking is so much slower. Is there something I have to do in a menu to make the game move faster?
Sneak does not affect steal formula from what I've read. Only standing behind target and stel check if the target steal skill is higher than 30, otherwise it will use perception.
I used to know everything about fo1 and 2 back in the day. I started playing again for the nostalgia with a small roleplaying twist on my character, still fun to play.
It's funny that you say to avoid the southwest area to get the alien blaster, I've always found in my playthroughs that that's the most common area to find it.
Hmm... So actually the game is in fact very easy combat- wise, most difficulty comes from sequence- breaking encounters when you're underleveled. Having said that, getting power armor and a .223 pistol, (turbo) plasma, red ryder LE, a minigun or a power fist trivializes the game. I also always tag sneak. I'm not sure how it works mechanically, but being undetected somehow boosts the crit rolls to the point where if you have about a 100 and 150 in gun skill it one shots and doesn't aggro opponents. It's broken. In Fo2 you can blast 6+ Enclave patrols without taking damage.
@@darkness2160 I've never found a good explanation mechanics wise, but Sneak is broken in old Fallouts. It adds to Steal (with 100 sneak you can shoplift anything you want), but also meses with the AI and boosts your crit rolls. For ultrahard addons like Sonora or Nevada it's a must.
@@bjorntrollgesicht1144 Sneak has nothing to do with the Steal formula, actually, nor does it have anything to do with crits Sneak is overpowered because it allows you to take turns out of line of sight of enemies without them being allowed to take theirs (even more broken on modern widescreen support when you can fire at extraordinary ranges), and the magical threshold for Sneak to fully reduce the enemy perception for detection purposes is 120%
@@ZerglingWasteland I'm puzzled. I've been playing the game since it came out and steal through most. What I have noticed is that I get significantly better results when I sneak and with the sneak skill at 100, it pretty much doesn't matter how much Steal I have, as I almost always succeed on any difficulty. And I'm talking "steal 5 caps one after another to cheese xp" kind of stealing. I also manage to score crits far more often when I'm not seen. Is it placebo, or is there a mechanical explanation?
@@bjorntrollgesicht1144 Placebo. Sneak has no known bearing on Steal in the code, neither does Perception. Successful stealing actually mainly depends on two factors - your critical chance, and the person you are stealing from's Steal check. This is because the game makes rolls for whether you critically succeed or fail at stealing, and also whether the other party notices you. Your own Steal actually matters much less than these two factors. If your Sneak builds also had Finesse it would make sense that you would crit more and Steal better.
Are you recording on-board of the vertibird? The immersion with INT:1 character is great. Ripley didn't take powerfist or ripper from gun runners and ended up having to sell all the cells for drugs. Also saving each time under the same save slot is riding on the razor edge - I always use two save slots for each play.
Its fun to use alien blaster with perks as well. If you have sniper (100% crit chance with 10 perception), fast shot, and bonus rate of fire, you can fire 5 shots with guaranteed crits a turn. I never played with drugs but with jet in fallout 2 you can boost that to 7 guaranteed crits in one turn; then with the cookies in the game from Modoc you can get 8 :P. That in theory should be sufficient to kill Frank Horrigan in a single turn. Still, you might die to those dang turrets! But anyway that's not as fun as just playing the game with all the cool weapons. I love that they made hand to hand so devastating as well. Everything in F1 & 2 was awesome

woah dude at 15:30 you said chems permanently change your special stats and if you start a new character when taking drugs on the current one, your new character will have the buffed stats, is that really true? Because if so im about to go start a new game and exploit the hell out of that.
Nope, that was a bug I encountered and I was never able to replicate it
Awesome content and I love the sound quality remindes me of play this game about 30 years ago
not sure if it was mentioned, but why dont you choose any perks as your leveling up? I know the build doesnt need it but would it have a negative effect if you picked perks? *Currently following this guide*
One of the numerous odd quirk's of this dude's choices and opinions include the philosophy that perks are for suckers or something to that effect. He muttered it several times how they're unnecessary or pointless or a scam or something.
No reason. He picked skilled which means you get less perks. But he just didnt take any
42:25 You got that right brother
i love videos like this. thank you
How is your game going so fast? I just recently started playing the first game, and the enemies move so slow and the attacking is so much slower. Is there something I have to do in a menu to make the game move faster?
In the settings set the combat speed to fast
@@sauerkraut7457 thanks Chief!
And I'm out there like a chump still lookin' for that damn water chip.
This video is both instructional and art.
Which was the bigger mistake? Y2k or them putting in only three slots for moving items in Fallout?

It was, but it provided a certain aesthetic to the narrator.
Whoa didn’t know abt that
@@darkness2160 I've never found a good explanation mechanics wise, but Sneak is broken in old Fallouts. It adds to Steal (with 100 sneak you can shoplift anything you want), but also meses with the AI and boosts your crit rolls. For ultrahard addons like Sonora or Nevada it's a must.
@@bjorntrollgesicht1144 Sneak has nothing to do with the Steal formula, actually, nor does it have anything to do with crits
Sneak is overpowered because it allows you to take turns out of line of sight of enemies without them being allowed to take theirs (even more broken on modern widescreen support when you can fire at extraordinary ranges), and the magical threshold for Sneak to fully reduce the enemy perception for detection purposes is 120%
@@ZerglingWasteland I'm puzzled.
Cheers lad for an awsome video :)
How do you gamble with 1 int? no gamblers will talk to me
Is that a parrot I hear in ther backgroud?
damn looks like i ate shit in this game...
It took me around 50hrs to fukin complete this game!!
This is the most cracked build I've ever seen. Based as FUCK
Best build I made was Unarmed 99%, 10 Str, 10, agi and 10 luck.
It usually one shots anything in Fallout 1 and 2. Horrigan included.
The ending lmao.
That ending lmaoooo
Varg called. He wants his mic back.
I actually like ur mic it fits the lore
You remind me of old moist critikal lol
Intelligence and profanity are highly correlated. Don't worry about it. 53:32 golden eye :)
