Welcome to my subscribed list. This popped up in my RUclips recommended vids, and as you said, I was someone who asked”Why does this exist?” Listened, and I’m glad I did. Avid listener to Dramface, and I love it, but this has a slant I like. I’m Scottish, so the tasting notes work fine for me, but I live in Mexico with a dreadful selection of whisky. As a result I buy most of my stash in the States whenever I visit. I can get frustrated listening about all the magic latest and greatest sometimes, but with you guys I should have a more realistic bottle list. All the best!
The tax rate in Australia is based on alcohol litre. So say a 50% abv bottle of 700ml volume counts as 350ml of pure alcohol. So tax rate is $104.alcohol litre which would be roughly $36 of tax. Then add gst of 10% on top of that.
Yes, regional availability & value of Whisky can sometimes vary dramatically. So, I’m eager to hear more from a “Colonial” perspective. FYI: I removed some of my prior comments when I realized how petty, bitter & generally negative I sounded. Cheers.
Kudos to the original Dramface team for sharing their platform. Kudos to the new team, who make a great alternative. Both work just fine
