This happened to me TODAY. I am an over 50yr old woman, 5ft tall and I have been in every aspect of construction. I was working in the heat all day, no money, drinking warm water at our lunch break and thinking I might be having a heat stroke. A woman walked up to me and asked if I had ice in my thermos of water.
After telling her no, she went in the store and bought me ice for my drink and gave me her own lunch. She is a city bus driver and had just gotten off work, tired and stressed no doubt. Such a simple act of kindness brought tears to my eyes. I came home after work to this reaction video. Thank you

Im a therapist and i het teary everytime i her thisbsong, it reminds me of so many of my clients and i visualize them pushing through their challenges.
This was my daughter’s favorite song when she was young. She was bullied in school for quite a while. She is 31 now. Seemed to me like bullying didn’t seem to matter much to adults in charge. That type of abuse is hard on children. This song helped her. Shame on any school that turns their head. She is good though. A very good and honest woman. So proud of her.
I lost my brother almost 2 years ago. When this song came out, I'd laugh my ass off with him and say," You know this song is about you right?!". He give me a big cheesy grin and giggle like a girl. He was a 6 foot 5 body builder... It still makes me smile through tears. He battled mental illness and alcoholism. It led to some bad choices that led to his death. He did not feel like he could just call and get a ride for some reason....he was caught in a flash flood and drowned. I can still see his big cheezy smile and his long legs pumping as he runs from a sticky situation. We all agreed that there was a party in heaven the day he died. A retirement party ...for his guardian angel. Love you Bubs!!!

There is another song that is done by Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, and Tracy Lawrence called "You Find Out Who Your Friends Are". It is a great song about going through bad times and who are your real friends. Sensitivity and hard times creates empathy and compassion for what others are struggling through.
this song got me thru hell.... my daughter was murdered, and I was sitting in my car, just trying to figure out how to even take that next breath, when that song came on, and it was like he was singing right to me. For my 4 other daughters, for the chance to see justice for my missing daughter... for the strength to raise my now orphaned grandson... I sometimes go from one breath to the next, but I keep going...

I just hsve to tell you, I live in a town of 700 people and our Legion burned down. We had a fundraiser and raised over 200,000.00. I'm so proud of the generosity in my home town. I just want you to know that you seem to have the same mentality. Thank you for what you do.
I have always been a more sensitive person, it sucks sometimes. But on the flip side, when someone else is having a hard time, I am sensitive enough to pick up on it and help them out. Being sensitive is nothing to be ashamed of, and don't think that your viewers get annoyed when you get emotional. Honestly, seeing how the songs get to you is one of the reasons I come and watch.

Dan Vasc (whom you've covered in the past) doesn't know country so he doesn't know this song but he's fond of saying if you're going thru hell don't stop or you'll live there. Bad times don't last forever. Faith does. And those angels in your life; glad they're there for you. Glad you find giving to others helpful; you give a lot thru this channel; to me at least. I love this song and I love your honesty. Country music expresses feelings, troubles and joy…among many other parts of life. Don’t ever apologize for tears and feeling deep emotions…that’s what makes us grow. Once when I was going through a tough, scary time, someone reminded me of this…Never give up; never surrender and know that this time will soon be gone and life will be good again, at least for awhile!😇

There were days my husband‘s career wasn’t going well and he would be worried about taking care of the family. I always reassured him. I would eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the rest of our lives and live in a cardboard box if we could be together. Family matters and jobs come and go.

As far as the emotional part…there’s no rhyme nor reason for why certain songs strike that chord in us as individuals. I always saw that song as funny upbeat “piece of advice song”’…I never got emotional over it, until you did…damn it…lol!

My stepson is a marine that trained out at MCRD. He told me that during church they would sing this song every week during basic teaining.
I wasn't a wild child, scared of the fears implanted in my mind..... I'm 58 in October, buried 2 husbands and my third husband tried to commit suicide....

I don't know if you will ever read this reply, Sebs, but you have apologized more than once for being "sensitive" or being emotional. Don't buy into that "men can't cry" or be emotional. After I watched you a couple of times, I recognized your sensitive nature that is probably your greatest gift. You are very musical, but also very tuned into the words, the feelings of music and this is wonderful! I love all kinds of music, and enjoy watching and listening to you enjoy the depth of feelings and all the details of the songs. I would be considered a boomer, but love all kinds of music up to today's music. I can tell you are very open to it, also, and that's an art lover. I am a very sensitive person, but it isn't a weakness. It can make me hurt more than others at times, but the ability to notice the positive, feel happiness, and spread joy is immense! Keep on being sensitive, emotional and sharing yourself. It's very authentic, real and adds depth to your videos. I don't apologize anymore if I get choked up or too emotional to do something or speak. I encourage you to do the same. :) Love your work and have put in a few suggestions. When this song came out I was in the midst of trying to finally leave an extremely abusive relationship, trying to keep my daughter and myself alive.

I definitely feel this song for sure. I could never go through everything that I've been through in the past several years, but most recently in 2019 I lost both my children (one girl, one boy) They were taken from me by children services for something beyond my control. I had never been in trouble up until that point in my life. I was in church since I was 3 years old and have done so much for the community around me, homeless, friends, family etc. and here I was going through this horrible situation. Three years I fought and even though they said it would never happen, I got them both back August 2022. Both my children went through hell and were hurt physically as well as "s&*ually" by the multiple foster families they were with. Things that would have NEVER happened had I not lost them. I was on oxygen at the time, and they kept leaving the house at nighttime, despite all the things I kept trying to do in order to keep them in. Locks on the doors, alarms, hiding things for them to climb on in order to reach the high locks and alarms. One night my canula fell off and I was without oxygen to my brain for a long time, because of that reason, they were able to once again get out the door without me knowing. Instead of helping me and working with me to keep my family together, they decided to take them. Again, I never smoked, never drank, never done a drug in my life, my whole family as good people and I still lost them. Well after getting them back, they were angry and dealing with a lot of traumas. My now 12-year-old son who has Cerebral Palsy reverted back to wetting himself at night due to the trauma. My daughter quickly after getting custody back, kept escalating with her behaviors that she was no longer in control and in order to keep my son and I safe she ended up going to a treatment center, Now my son is back in custody, because of his behaviors and because of a meltdown he had out in public that caused the neighbors to think I was hurting him and all I was doing was trying to keep him from hurting himself. I got in a lot of trouble and now I'm back at facing charges for something I never done, and I still don't have my children again. I am so scared for them because they are still young, and I am afraid that they will never get through this, and they will both be stuck in facilities for the rest of their childhood. It isn't right the crap they have been through and all for nothing really. I lost my father in 2010 when my son was only7 months old and he never saw my daughter be born. I lost my mom just back in November last year and now it's just me, alone with no support, trying to stay strong for my babies and trying to get them back. I keep holding on to the fact that CPS said that I'd never get them back last time and I did, and I know that it could happen, because with God ALL things are possible and God is in control and no matter how much hell we've been through, I am still going. No matter how hard it is, no matter how many times I want to quit. no matter how much pain I'm in and how many tears I cry, no matter how many prayers I pray... I can't give up and I must keep going because if I don't, my children have nobody. Even though I don't get to see them in person, I'm all they have right now and they need me no matter how hard it is to keep going some days. No matter how bad people hate me or what they think of me. God knows the truth about me and that I didn't do anything to hurt my kids and that is all I care about. You are so blessed Sebs, whatever it is that you're facing, you have your beautiful family to uplift you and support you and you have God too. He's walking beside you, he's keeping you strong and when it gets hard and you feel like you can't stand up and walk, it's those days God will carry you through .... always remember that and NEVER GIVE UP!!
