Dave, I've got an old Turner circular sawmill and I'm needing to fabricate a scale or something like you have vertical on the back of your carriage to look at and adjust the log for board thickness.

One man understands the sawmill and the two young men have no clue. Makes it very hard on the sawyer

Was doing great until it started cutting out of the log.. Replaced the teeth, checked lead(1/32), checked saw was still square to carriage, knees square, definitely thinking more power

Definitely not a high prediction operation.

That hickory had been on the ground for well over a year. Hard as concrete. Hard on the sawmill even harder on the teeth. Thanks for watching! We appreciate it. Dave

Nope, milling hickory for my son to make furniture and cabinets for his home. The youngest boy is almost ready to be a sawyer, the older boy is a little to Gung ho and believes in the motto "damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead.". Ahh youth and impatience. The youngest boy knows every inch of that mill inside and out, what I did to make the mill run better and why. He also is our machinist that makes all of our parts and the parts we sell.
