Chris is joined by Jason Ricketts Midwest Team Manager for Jackson Kayak's. Chris and Jason do so drifting down the main channel using mooneye as bait.     Chris, watch some Kayak Catfish vids, might give you some tips on landing a bigun' out of a Kayak.

    Great fish. Looks like you’re still dialing in your system on that kayak. Much different than on a boat. A for the grippers, always put the lanyard around your wrist. I lost a set that went diving down with a 23lb blue here on my home lake the one time I didn’t get it on my wrist good enough.

    Lol 😆 been there done that what an amazing video 👏 🙌 👌 😄 first big fish on a kayak is crazy but fun ( make sure you have an extra paddle inside your kayak believe me at least a short one from Walmart if you don't have one already )

    I believe one of the main rules of kayak fishing is “if you don’t want to loose it, put a leash on it!” If you don’t mind, could you share which brand of grippers you use? I might consider buying some stock...

      It’s a whole new level of challenge. Not for everyone, for sure but you should see what the anglers fishing my tournaments are doing in kayaks! You would be amazed! You may enjoy just following some of them!

      I have a 10ft jon boat I use like most folks are using kayaks. Way more stable, way more space, and got a j-rigged dolly to wheel it in on long walks.
