Why on EVERY US made car with Plastic wood interior trim there must be a negative comment. So what! Fake wood trim is American style and construction and so comfortable!
@John Wick i could have lived with it as a daily driver, it had a superficially smooth ride over good roads, but hit a real bump and it shook your eyeteeth amid a welter of squeaks and rattles. pretty darned quiet inside on good roads, less so on worn coarse pavement. 4 cylinder engine [the quietest smoothest one i've ever experienced] had about 200 ponies which was plenty to move it down the highway and climb hills even. the 300+ hp 6-banger would have been a ticket-getter. you could just barely hear the engine as leakage through the side windows. no noise or vibration from the engine. plenty of room inside even for my 6'3" frame, seats were orthopedically correct and adjustable to suit me, the best lumbar support i've found. they were the most comfy seats i've experienced. driver's rear sightlines are non-existent to a dangerous extent, the mirrors just don't cut it, the back-up camera [first 4 years it was only available on top trims] is MANDATORY for this car.
+ElectricCarFan Sure, that "legendary Toyota reliability" was MIA from the new Corolla I was given as a rental last summer. It squeaked, rattled, had tons of road noise, had the most uncomfortable seats I've ever sat in, and had cheap molded plastic as far as the eye could see. Not to mention the Tetris-esque gear shifter, which was nothing but a pain in the ass. Toyota has got to be the second most overrated car brand behind Honda. The fanboys just cannot get their stroke off fast enough when it comes to either brand.
Wrong. The only auto company I can say I truly hate is Chrysler. They build nothing but pure junk. The 1998 Neon I bought brand new(I was 18 buying my first new car. Didn't know any better) that blew a head gasket at less than 10 thousand miles, along with a Dodge Daytona my mother had that was such a piece of shit the windows would not even roll down, solidified my opinion of their shitty vehicles. It was a base model, but that does not excuse the squeaking, rattling, and horrible road noise I experienced. It also doesn't excuse how uncomfortable it was to ride in and drive, with seats so thin on padding that the metal in them poked me in the back the entire time I drove it. It also lacked an armrest worth shit, and caused my shoulder to hurt for lack of having anywhere to rest my right arm while driving. It was also chock full of cheap ass plastic as far as the eye could see. My 2014 Impala, and 2014 Lacrosse put that tuna can to shame. Besides, even if it was a base model, the bare bones of the car are still the same as one with more features. Sorry, but that car was a piece of shit and I would never buy a Toyota because it soured their build quality for me. The thing didn't even have remote keyless entry, for crying out loud. We are talking about a 2015 model, which was without a basic feature that even my 1995 Nissan Maxima has. That's just cheaper than cheap gets from Toyota.
Agreed, of all the auto manufacturers Chrysler has probably the worst track record I've ever known. There's just problems everywhere with all of their models, be it safety or quality control.
0-60 in 7.4 with 305 hp? Wow thats slow.. My 2013 dodge avenger hits 0-60 in 6.1. This Buick must be very heavy. I do like the looks and luxury of the Buicks but not for 40k. I walked out the door with my avenger (has all the options except for leather seats and touchscreen radio) for 20740$.
It's because of the AWD which adds 200lbs. Overall this thing is about 400lbs heavier then the new impala. I know the new impala is about a second faster at 6.5
+Bayard Rustin Coalition Yep, and I wouldn't drive a Chrysler product even if it were free. Biggest piece of shit I ever owned was a Dodge Daytona, and the reviews for their new cars don't instill much confidence either. Anybody remember the 2.7 liter engine fiasco? I know I sure do.
Looks beautiful! This and the new Regal! I'm glad GM kept Buick. I can see why.
that dude loves his puns. I've been watching him since i was kid.
Yes John is a great host and narrator for the road and comparison tests from this the Corvette
the 0 -60 time they are quoting is on an ALL WHEEL Drive which will slow it down..the regular fwd does it in a 6 sec or so
really nice car!

'Midsize'
i hope it has less squeaks and rattles over the typically crappy broken pavement out here in the sticks, as the last new generation impala i drove.

why is it not in the UAE???
buck lacrosse is a good looking car it is up there with the Toyota Avalon. I wood like to drive one.
I drive them everyday and 7.5 to 60 is bullshit. I took a '13 model to 60 in 5.5 sec. Don't know who they have testing these cars.
A car for all the displaced old Cadillac buyers.

U R right on then! Chrysler is crap! They are always on the bottom of the todem pole for reliability and quality!

(With the exception of the Cummins Diesel)
Reminds me of a Nissan Altima ......
Nissan Altima driver's couldn't afford these lmfao.

And your point is? Avenger is 2 classes below Lacrosse.
If anything the awd should give it more traction with better times.

Really silly to compare avenger with lacrosse. Not even in the same class. You compared them just because they are both cars ??
Meh.
Lucerne was a much better car.
It was bigger, but it wasn't nearly as refined as the LaCrosse.
