Why was the brewed coffee tan instead of dark brown?
I have declared coffee to US customs (better than saying you brought nothing back!), but I never thought about bringing green beans. Since roasting can be done wrong, it was great you had your own man.

Very much depends on the bean, and (mostly) the roast - this same bean comes out a much darker color in a "Full City Roast", but isn't nearly as tasty (IMHO). This was a light-to-medium roast in this video. You can see how the color of the bean changes throughout the roasting process.

@@KASUMINaturals thank U 4 the reply. Friend used to own a coffee shop (did not roast her own), so there was interest. Just realized the beans went Hawaii to JP, but I guess JP had no problem with beans and bugs there.
good 2 videos. beautiful wife and child. It was the big drums which got my nipples hard, where I posted something else.
Happy life, I'm finished here. (will clean up afte r myself (ie delete this post)).
PS Kona and Jamaican Blue Mountain are always the top 2 coffees. Japan used to get 90 percent of the green beans, though JBM is a licensed name and there are many other farms at that elevation which uses 'high-mountain'
