I'm in Lancaster TX it's about 40 and I'm loving your project and this weather. I couldn't imagine being in 13 or 11 degrees oh my god. Keep up the good work and I'll be praying for you.

+Maria L Hi Maria. We've been having beautiful weather here in Minnesota this winter. I hope you misses the flooding and other mean weather there in TX. And thanks for the kind thoughts.

The dragon is out on my front porch, where he'll stay until it warms up enough to paint him (it's -16 right now, too cold even for the dogs to go outside!). He's too big to paint in the house. We''ll see him again in the spring.

oh, my! That's COLD! Its 6 or 20 degrees here in Santa Fe NM and Im complaining. Im working on my Grinch Dr Seuss paper mache sculpture and its turning out nice. But the cold is slowing down some of my processes. Im sending you a picture of another figure Im working on...Im glad to see you are working NO matter what the weather intends on doing? What State are you in?

I'm in South Dakota. It got up to a balmy 11F today, and it's amazing how much more comfortable it was. You're not making your Grinch outside, are you? And isn't it supposed to be warm in Santa Fe?

The other night after I came from work at 1am it was 6 degrees. My Grinch is being made inside the house in my room. Its too cold to work outside. The cold weather and humidity would ruin my Grinch. So far we had 1 snowstorm and a half....a total of 1 foot of snow

    This looks fun to do!
Is that glazing liquid your using the same as glazing medium by Liquitex?

I haven't used their brand. I think they all work pretty much the same - they slow down the drying time of the acrylic paint and make it more transparent. But I can't say if it works exactly the same as the Golden brand.

Have you made large angel wings?

    • @UltimatePaperMache

No, I haven't tried that yet, but I made large dragon wings, but bat-like, not bird-like, so it isn't at all the same thing. As long as you have a good support, you could make the wings just like I did on this little angel tree topper - but the bigger the wings, the heavier they'll be. I'd probably also cut individual feathers out of light cardboard, like the kind used for cereal boxes, to make it easier to make them look separate. If you make some angel wings, I'd love to see how they come out.
