YAY !! Someone who over thinks when packing like me. I literally pack everything (including iron - don't ask), then go on to wear only a quarter of it lol. I go mad when packing for the kids too. Then the other half - - 2 pairs of trousers, 2 pairs of Shorts, various T shirts/shirts. Exact amount of underwear and socks, 2 pairs of shoes. 1 formal outfit. And it doesn't matter if the hotel says towels provided - - I pack 10 for all 4 of us 😂😂😂So I would say out of 4 suit cases - - EVERY holiday - I could really cut it down to 2. 16 years down the line, I still haven't learnt.

I do my big luggage then a carry on case as well as my tote that can fit under seat that counts as personal item and so I can fit things in those if my suitcase it over the weight as well as souvenirs lol

Yes, I completely agree that you should not use packing cubes, because you could fit much more and see all your items at a glance, which I feel makes for a stress -free way of packing and living outside of your suitcase at each destination. Stressing over visibility of outfit items and organization of all options is my biggest challenges when traveling.
You will burn your electric things, because in italy it's 220V, and your things only 110V. Take care, even with your phone. The plugs are diferent also.😘
