Idk why it does not work but not long ago shulkercraft made that farm and had to fix a lot of things so maybe ask them

Also dactus, the reason why the trees aren’t growing is because of the light level

Every tree farm is direcrional. Fir example if a block is right next to the sapling in the east side, it will work. But if you rotate the farm the block is At the west side, it wont work. Maybe thats the problem. But amazing video

Ive found that bone mealing the north west sapling of a giant spruce tree always grows the tree, but I could be wrong about that.

Giant spruce three are directionals, (they can grow only if there no block in west and south i think but that can be others directions, check the wiki).
Hey, have you changed the rotation of the farm to build it? 2x2 tree farms are rotational, so that might be why your trees dont grow. If you did rotate it, you'll probably have to break it and rebuild it all on the right direction

The tree farm not working is probably a server issue. Have you tried running it without any server-side resource packs installed?
do you mean plugins or datapacks or something? why would resource packs make a difference?

My guess is the light level is too low. Place some torches around where the tress would grow or something. In the test world, you had it open to sunlight so that's maybe why it worked.
I pasted it in test world with sunlight and still wouldn't grow, thanks for the suggestion tho

I reckon the tree wont grow because you might have built the farm rotated wrong
Pretty sure that its a directional farm because of the way that saplings check for obstructions
