In this video we show you how to connect Sengled Smart Light Bulbs to Alexa. Once you connect your Sengled Bulbs to Alexa it will allow you to remotely control them using Alexa voice commands. With Alexa voice commands you can turn on and off your smart bulbs, change the dimming levels and even change the colors of your smart light bulbs.
To Connect Alexa To Sengled Smart Bulbs:
1. You will need to have the Alexa app set up and installed on your phone along and your Alexa device connected to the app. You will also need to have your Alexa device set up and installed on the Alexa app.
2. You need to have your Sengled Smart Light Bulb set up and installed on the Sengled app and have them connected to wifi.
3. Open the Alexa app and click the "More" symbol in the lower right hand corner of the Alexa app to open the menu and then click on the "Skills and Games Tab"
4. Click on the magnifying glass and search for "Sengled" when the skill pops up select it.
5. Then click "Enable" for the Sengled Alexa skill.
6. Enter your Sengled Username and click continue.
7. Click Discover devices. It then takes 45 seconds to search for the devices.
8. Sometimes Alexa will show the devices have connected sometimes it will not show that the devices have connected even though they have it can just be a glitch in the software. The best way to test if your Sengled devices have connected to Alexa is to try and use an Alexa voice command to turn them on or off. So use the name of the Sengeld device you entered in the Sengled app and attempt to control them with and Alexa voice command by saying as an example: "Alexa, turn on living room light"
9. Your Sengled Smart light is now connected to Alexa.

Question, how are you supposed to say a command if you haven't setup the device yet
Just bought a four pack of these bulbs to use as accent lighting around the house. Looking forward to using them. Thanks for the video!
reset my password for the 5th time. And for the 5th time it said my password is wrong 🤣
Might take 24hrs to verify the password change
It’s doing the same for me 🙃
Omg TYYYYY I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO SET IT UP
How did you connect Sengled bulb? No one can seem to connect. HELP!!
Doesn't seem to let me connect to my account
same issue here
@@johangp1990 I can't remember how I got the account connected. I think you needed to make an account on the website or the app seperatly. Like the web account didn't work in the app or something, but if you made you account within the app it would. I can't confirm because the light bulb ended up being bad.
Thank you for this video! You’re awesome dude!
Thanks for watching and the comment! Happy to help!
Tip: After linking the apps, I had to add the Sengled bulb to an Alexa Room group. Otherwise, I could not control the bulb with voice commands.
Did not work for me at all!
Fantastic video!
Thank you!
You're welcome! Thanks for subscribing!
Well, that was weird. couldn't get bulb to work with Alexa Dot or app but Alexa Dot set it up by listening to this video, Called it First Light. Works every time now. Thanks.
i want to setup two but when i go through and try to connect another one the only option i get it to disable skill
broooo thxxxx so much ima do it rn
This doesn't work at all! I went to enable it. And I got to the login page. Without the create account or continue! So I made an account. Tried to log in. AND IT SAID IT DIDNT EXIST! I MADE ANOTHER. STILL NOT WORKING!!!!!
same thing happened to me...try getting the sengled app and making an account there...it worked for me after that.
Did anything work? I am having the same issue
How do I create an account…
@@Polished_Media_ you must download the app from the App Store and create your account through the app.
im having the same issue
Interesting - do you get these bulbs on Amazon?
yes
Yes
There is a link on the description
What was left out was you need to set up the sengled account first and have it connect with and name it there.
How do you set up a singled account? it does show set up account
@@MoKimNa Google singled and create an account on their website
I figured that out lol
You don’t have to do this lol
This is great if your device is found... but pointless when it doesn't work... It would be nice if there was more information for those of us who aren't lucky and get it working in 1 shot. Great for most but I wish there were some more help... oh well off to google university I go.
When u play music can the lights go with the beat?
No unfortunately they down but they have over 20 colors and soft whit sky whit e and warm whit and a brightness range of 1-100
@@pnkf2 they have 16 million + colors
It depends on what music. Lol
@@connortayloe9295 don't believe the marketing. It's much closer to 16 pre determined colors. Most of which are fucking horrendously ugly. These are not full RGB.
@@Hugh_Hunt if they have a Color wheel that you can click any spot to get a colour, there are a lot of colors
How do you set up an account you just showed us how to login I can't figure out how to set up an account with this sengled
I’m trying to make my light bulbs go into rainbow mode, but these won’t. Any help?
I upgraded my Alexa and now the Sengled is not working.
Is it free on the Alexa app
Infuriating. I can use echo show to dim and turn on or off. When I try to change color it says "light doesn't support that"...... but it does. I'm also unable to rename the light. I also have the Bluetooth version.
The Bluetooth version was super simple to set up and responded to voice commands well, like choosing the colour. The wifi one is slower to set up, requires a Sengled account, and doesn't seem to respond as well. I returned the wifi version and am sticking to the made for Alexa Bluetooth ones. Those for me work great.
@@katherinelangford981how do you do the Wifi one? I bought them even though they are way more expensive and supposedly when you plug them they automatically are in your account. Wasn't the case for me, when I go to Alexa and add new decice for Bluetooth sengled, it say I don't have an Alexa set up with Bluetooth? Wth? My Alexa Echo connects to my phone via Bluetooth. How do you do it? Even when I was in Amazon it said it would link to my account!
@captnwinkle it's been a year and the wifi ones went back. I'm sorry I don't remember. I'm pretty sure I had to download the Sengled app, synch it to that. Then add sengled to alexa, and once that was done alexa had linked the lights.
But I switched brands. I gave my friend for Xmas an echo show and a light, and then she wanted more lights so I have her mine and got some globe brand ones as I also had their indoor camera and wifi plug. So it meant fewer apps for me. Just the one Globe brand one
Hey how do I create the sengled account
I did mine in the app
@@candyapple98765 how
@@yousef2508 download the Sengled app from the App Store and create your account through the app.
Anyone figure this out?
ur def doing it the hard way lol
What's the easy way?
I dont have a sengled account
Doesn’t work
This didn’t work for me it can’t find the lights on the Alexa app
This guy does not respond smhh!
How do I get them to show up in the app? I’d like to be able to turn things on and off from my phone remotely
Same the bulb doesn’t even show up on the app so u can’t even use together stupid
get the sengled app!
Had to quite the video early. Doesn't make it easy watching and listening to a video the screams out Alexa every few seconds and having my echos talkiing back.
So, in order for these light bulbs to work all I need is wifi ,the alexa app, and any bulb socket to install the light bulb to. . What if I want to install the light bulb outside my porch . Does the light switch need to remain in on position in order for alexa to respond to the command
These bulbs are terrible and CONSTANTLY lose connection.
Exactly! I’ve been trying for months on how to re-connect it, it hasn’t worked once.
Horrible bulbs! Returning them. Cant even register on the app. Real waste of time. Waste of time and money. Hate these 💡
@@kimfowler4636 I’m not the only one! I’m so frustrated. I bought a four-pack to replace all the lamps in my bedroom and I can’t get any of them to pair on the Echo Dot or my iPhone with the Sengled App installed.
It clearly stated these lamps would work with my Amazon Device-text even had the name of my bedroom dot.
WELL, IT DOESN’T!
I’m returning them.
I was having the same issue try restarting your alexa. That helped me.
Lights suck
Very poor as lamp was already connected!!!!!
this is outdated
Stay away from these
