Tall Student is the only one in the entire game's english dub who pronounced "Takamaki" right.
However the voice actors pronounce the names is how they’re told by the original Japanese client
@@CrokedBlueCreeper101 Somehow I believe it but at the same time I know it's not the english cast's fault for being unable to listen carefully to how it's really pronounced. I think it's a cultural or language barrier.
@@ShintaTakama If you want to keep thinking like that then fine, but Ann’s English voice actor confirmed this that when people complain about their pronunciations, it’s because that’s how they’re specifically told by the Japanese client. Name pronunciations don’t really have anything to do with language barriers unless we’re talking accents
What do you mean it's the only one pronounced right? Most of the surname pronunciations are wrong and that one is the worst.
In Japanese the name 高巻 is pronounced:
た̠か̄ま̄き̄(IPA: ꜜtaꜛkaꜛmaꜛki)
Mishima's and most pronunciation in the English voices is:
た̠か̄ーま̄き̠(IPA: ꜜtaˈꜛkaːꜛmaˌꜜki)
Tall student's is, by far, the most different from the Japanese pitch accent:
た̄ー̄か̠ま̄ー̠き̠(IPA: ˈꜛtaːꜜkaˌꜛmaːꜜki)
It even has a second stress accent. Which makes it sound very different from Japanese.
Edit: Also, they don't use 'a' in the english pronunciation. They use either 'ʌ' or 'ɜ' most of the time, which is fine, but Tall girl does 'ə' which is a bit worse.
