    What is the treatment for all the wall protrusions (pipes, cabinet and toilet mountings, toilet and sink soil pipes etc)?

    • @ImpeyshowersOFFICIAL

      Hi - any kind of additions or pipe entry points can be addressed with the joint tape as its a bit thinner and very easy to manipulate15/22mm holes can be drilled through it to create a pipe collar or if there is existing pipework a split can be used and slightly bunched upward with same method being used after with the main sheet but moving the split to a slightly different location and then finished with the jointing compound. the good thing about these materials is that the butyl backing stays supple and will reseal and cuts you have to put into it or if you have to drill through it (wall only).

    can it hold larger tiles on the wall?

    • @ImpeyshowersOFFICIAL
      @ImpeyshowersOFFICIAL  5 лет назад

      Yes, however it all depends on the tile + grout weight. Please call our technical team to get a definitive answer on wall loads before commencing > 01460 256080

    Is there any need to do this on a ground floor concrete floor if I’m going to double layer micro cement and then seal for water?

    Could you lay self-adhesive UFH mat over this then apply self leveling cement?

    • @ImpeyshowersOFFICIAL
      @ImpeyshowersOFFICIAL  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, UFH can be applied to this, a lot of the matt types have a certain amount of tack on them which will adhere to the matting, if you have to cut the back matting to turn the UFH you might have to use a slither of duct tape to hold the turned edge down but that sticks to the membrane as well.
      Cement based levellers are also compatible with this membrane but do be very careful not to fill in the pre-formed gradient on the former as it needs to maintain a 1:40 gradient.

      Hi, this is not tested for such an application so we'd advise not to.

    I've just fitted my Impey Aqua deck, great product and easy to fit! I will be plaster boarding next (using Elements type board), and will then tank with the WaterGuard kit, including the whole floor area of 2.1 x 2.7m. However, I am also fitting the loose cable Prowarm ProGrid+ system as fitted by Roger here (ruclips.net/video/2oqwys3ycKc/видео.html). For this you need to fit the matting down that the cable runs in and I was planning on running this into the shower area - is it OK to fix that matting down on top of the waterguard kit with kst, and then tile on top of the matting? The matting is 6mm so I would need to account for that, plus adhesive, plus tile when setting the drain grate.
    I did email your tech team a few weeks back with this question but haven't heard back from them.

      Would you like a free WaterGuard sample ?

    • @kimjarvis7355
      @kimjarvis7355 2 года назад

      Yeah, it does seem weird and feels like it should come laminated to the plasterboard. Then again, previously, tiles would be hanging from the paper sheet on the plasterboard and that seemed fine.
