I also used to work in retail was made redundant in 2020 due to pandemic. But while in that job there were many times I didn’t like it from customers shouting and swearing to ppl getting majorly stroppy when I said I couldn’t sell them something age restricted as they didn’t have photo ID etc it’s like, I’m just doing my job… was so frustrating.
There were times I enjoyed parts of it but on the whole I had this feeling that I’m meant for bigger better things and I’m not meant to deal with the above ( and much much more ) until I retire… I don’t think I want to go back to retail. Previous to that I worked in catering and I was grateful for the retail job because they gave me a chance and I worked hard there for over 3 years.
In catering I was bullied so badly by managers that I never want to work in catering again xx
