That's like, the first Power/Neoclassical metal song I've ever many years ago. This is so good, one of the best instrumental song of all time in my opinion.
15+ years later and I still have One More Final Battle stuck in the back of my mind associated with this song. Even without that, this is still an absolute BANGER of a track.
You have to have fingers of steel, the concentration of a god, the patience of Gandhi, and multiple guitars and guitar strings to eventually get this right
@@RealisticHum4n it's the precision that makes it difficult, and trying to do it all in one take if you've learned it. I just finished doing stratosphere in one take, been trying that for a while. Guess it depends on your level of playing also, if you say it's easy, I'd like to see a video of you playing it. Cheers
you are fuckin dumb mate , even if the new albums are good , popularity of stratovarius is all about timo tolkki writting with the whole band , you probably thought speed of light (to name one of the few..)was written by Kupiainen ...Not
Remember folks, there's a reason they always play Eagleheart, Hunting High and Low and Black Diamond at the shows and it sure ain't because of the new albums.
none of you have listened to any of Tolkki's solo stuff, have you? old stratovarius stuff is great, but take a look at the album "stratovarius" that album was pure garbage. after that Tolkki left and since then they released a couple of great albums including what I think is the best epic stratovarius have ever written, "Elysium". meanwhile, every of Tolkki's solo projects has been a failure with music that is mediocre at best. he is a good guitarist, but not a good songwriter. this is clearly shown by the difference between the music Tolkki wrote with Stratovarius and his solo stuff.
Tolkki did write some not so good stuff, but the guy is plagued by Bi-Polar. He's had some good stuff outside of Strato though and some great musicians with him. Interestingly though you'll see Jani Liimatainen from Sonata Arctica wrote a lot with Kotipelto and many songs by the two were in Eternal and two in Nemesis. It's why I'm a big fan of Cain's Offering.
@@bsjenssnjejejdjddj5329 Gracias bro. Aún no teníamos teléfono para grabar en esos tiempos, así que sólo era famoso en el barrio :( ahora está barrigón, jejeje
During the 90s, Nirvana and their movement gave an almost mortal blow to Rock, Iron Maiden was on a huge break after Dickinson's departure, Metallica sold their souls to pop music, Halford was separated from Judas Priest and Ozzy was smoking his own hair among other things. Metal was almost gone. Metal survived through the pathetic 90s thanks to bands like Stratovarius. It was their melodic Metal what has given so many influences even to the very strong Death/Melodic style of today.

I own both parts of the Elements album, and I think it's a sweet theme how Part 1 is songs about Fire and Water, and Part 2 is songs about Earth and Air. But man, listen to this song! As if its name alone wasn't a giveaway, it's a nonstop barrage of high-octave notes and power chords, blasting at an incredibly fast tempo like flying in a high-altitude tempest. This is clearly an Air song. So how did Stratofortress end up with all the Water and Fire tunes on Part 1? o.o

La expresión más perfecta y elevada de Power Metal. Será mi canción favorita por siempre.
didn't appreciate it when i stumbled across them the first time. Only later did i realize the sheer amount of skill.
how the FUCK do these guys come up with this stuff... incredible....
