I drive Mopars so I've always dealt with the Carter carbs and run an aftermarket 9800 Thermo Quad on my Dart after fighting with a AFB and a AVS off a 383 in my original 318. The TQ was the best running smoothest carb on the car. They are one you have to understand how to tune but get it right and never touch it again. I did try a Holley on it as the first try but just didn't like it. On a GM I'd probably give the QuadraJet a shot if you're going to street drive it, if not run what you have now.
Truly enjoying this sister channel - and well explained. Thank you ~ Chuck
