Luke 4:16-24
In Luke's gospel, Jesus finds himself in his hometown, looking to the words of Isaiah to share the mission statement of his ministry: "anointed to bring good news to the poor... proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, and to set free those who are oppressed." With rapidly shifting dynamics in our country, we do well to remember that Jesus' mission is our calling.
