    All the current issues which I observed were all software so that should be fixed with the time like homebrew, docker, etc. This machine is definitely a future. So I am buying it with 512gb storage and 16/8 GB ram. Let me know your thoughts too and don't forget to hit like and subscribe,

    So for all those worried about the configuration and future proofing, I ordered a 16 GB RAM and 216 GB SSD because we can always plug-in some external SSD whenever we need but cannot do the same with Memory.
    So if you are tight on budget and will be using this machine for 5 years or so, go with 16GB memory

    Thank you a ton! I have been looking for someone to review and post the analysis for 8GB/256GB MacBook air all over youtube. But because youtube predominantly a creative channel all videos have talked about video/audio editing.

      But, Instead of upgrading to a 512GB, I bought a 500GB Sandisk extreme pro for 120CAD. Everything that is not an active project, including personal files, go on that disk

    I went with 16GB RAM. Most of tech reviewers said to go with upgrading RAM rather than SSD (because I already had external SSD) , if your limitation is to upgrade only one of them. Also GEEKBENCH Score for my MBA M1 16GB is higher than MBP M1 8GB.

  • @joselito7776
    @joselito7776 3 года назад +4

    Thank you for confirming whether Flutter dev is viable on the M1s. As for your choice of SSD over Ram, you can always plugin an external SSD if needed. Yes it is inconvenient and not as fast as the internal SSD, but its a viable option whereas with Ram you are forever stuck with what you've got, so you might want to reconsider cuz for power users, 8 gig is a bare minimum.

    • @HelloCodepur
      @HelloCodepur  3 года назад +3

      For developers, 8gb unified memory is sufficient though it’s good if you can buy the 16gb one. If you do lot of multitasking or video editing stuff then only I recommend it over SSD. Because there are limited ports in this machine so the lesser external things, the better experience

    Hi, thank you for making the videos. I’m a Windows, and it is about time for me to switch to Mac as my primary, since I’m developing Flutter apps. Some videos says that developers should wait for the next generation of MacBook, because the M1 might have some unknown bug or complications. I’m thinking on buying a 2018 Mac Mini for testing and building, and once the 2021 Mac drops, I’ll by that. What do you suggest me to do?

      There are still many ides that arent supported by this ARM cpus
      They will work sometimes but will not be optimised

    I am a freelance flutter developer.
    Should I go with Air or Pro variants?
    I'm thinking 16gb ram and 512 gb. Just confused between pro and air because both seem the same

      mere difference of fan . base variants of both have same specifications . I have pro m1 and my friend has air m1 . Difference is of touch bar , battery life , sound and screen . that's it . Go for air m1. Cheaper for same specs

      @@sunitroy6694 prolly will heat up little bit but my friend uses it for about 4-5 hours straight doing developing , deploying apps. he takes a break of half an hour and again for the very hours . It a great device and you wont feel any issues like that . But indeed that's the only point where m1 pro wins .

    Bro I m proud of you as one of the few good Indian developers on RUclips who is confident and provides the right information but you got to work on your English accent and grammar. The technical stuff is amazing already why not to go one step towards the perfection of videos and fix those language issues. Don't be offended this is just to see you grow more.
