I don't remember all the details but I remember being a child, I am asleep in the backseat, my parents are in the front seat of a car, I am feeling safe and this is what they said to me. The song is very emotive, as is your memory of being a child with your parents so long ago. My daughter is 14 and has similar memories arriving home to this song playing in the car.
I'm no expert on music but I don't need to be to hear the voices of Angels. I'd never heard this before. Now I find myself singing this as I go through each day. It gives me a safe place to go when I weather the storm that is life nowadays. Thank you Moby.
Moby has a video on youtube of him in is home studio, and showing how he wrote and mixed the music for this song. It's beautiful music. Then he said he sent the music to Damien Jurado (the singer in the video), and he wrote the lyrics for it. This song has fantastic, poetic lyrics that can have a different interpretation to each listener, and in my opinion, a song written in this way is truly artistic and wonderful.

I cry at the authenticity of these songs, the effort and dedication they put into them, the downright SOUL that they obviously sing with. Look at these people! Their EYES are wet! They feel when they sing it what I feel when I listen to it!!!! Wow!!!!! Holy hell, just WOW! The bass player, the back up singers, the CHOIR for god's sake! Wow.

Waited many years to see Moby play live. Drove from AZ to catch this show, it was everything I could have wanted it to be, I was overcome with emotion at so many points over the course of those 3 hours and I'll never forget it. Drove right back to AZ after the show ended, got home right around when the sun was rising, Almost Home still ringing in my ears. Thanks for such an amazing night!

Strum those chords on your guitar, or play them on the piano and you will have fun playing along to this video, or the studio version of this song. Just remember to play around with the chords, meaning, play the arpeggios also and experiment with it and in no time you'll have the melody down too. At least that's how I do it on piano. This song sounds awesome on organ or synth too!

I discover artists every once in a while whose music come along with me for the rest of my life. Such discoveries are things that are truly worth living for. This piece gave me Damien Jurado's art whose performance is so inspiring while, at the same time, having a character so modest and fragile for a man. I have listened to quite a few of his performances and have definitely added him to my list of wanna-see musicians. Thanks, Damien, thanks, Moby.

Strum those chords on your guitar, or play them on the piano and you will have fun playing along to this video, or the studio version of this song. Just remember to play around with the chords, meaning, play the arpeggios also and experiment with it and in no time you'll have the melody down too. At least that's how I do it on piano. This song sounds awesome on organ or synth too!
