I think your kids would be less safe in the USA. The Yucatan is safe and your kids will be healthier with all that fresh food and warm sunshine. Lots of festivals and celebrations too. The Mexican way of life is more chill and very family oriented. Very few families are torn apart about anything but especially politics like in the USA. Besides, the young adults now are going digital nomads and they’re living all over the world, so if a country takes a turn for the worst, they just hop a plane to another one.
