I don’t know what it is... but why is RG no longer interesting? Maybe its the new COP or the music or whatever. Dina is a great gymnast, her skills in apparatus handling is out of this world. But why am I not feeling anything from all of her routine? Its like watching a robot doing a daily routine. How I wish the RG is more like during Kanaeva, dmitrieva, liubov, kondakova, anna bessanova, yana and mamun’s era. Its expressive and their routine is packed with matureness and emotions. Well soldatova was the last person who still makes others watch RG since she is very expressive and could convey the routine to people. But sadly she retired. The amount of people watching RG has since decrease ever since soldatova retired. Just look at the comments section. If RG in this seaso is still interesting the comments section have reached hundreds and even thousands. I’m a avid fan and supporter of RG but i’m now quite sad and dissapointed on what has RG become. Or maybe i’m just putting my expectations too high to the level of kanaeva, yana, mamun and expect the current generations to be at their level and be expressive. But boy, how wrong i was to set those type of expressions.
The twins have always performed like that They had more energy when they were younger maybe that’s what you’re referring to But the robotic collection of skills performed quickly was always their trademark There are gymnasts tho that actually interpret the music and push the sport to its peaks Boryana Kaleyn Milena baldassarri Daria Atamanov Stilana Nikolova Sofia Raffaeli

You’re not the only one. Me too. The current generation gymnasts lacks the maturity, expressive emotions in their routine. Maybe its because I set a very high expectations on them, the expectations on the level of kanaeva, mamun, yana. Soldatova was the last saving grace since I can only watch her perform with such emotions and maturity. Sadly she retired. And the rest are like robots, doing the routine for the sake of executing difficult routines and too focused on it until they ignore the most important component, which is to put your emotions heart and soul into the routine.
I'm just now beginning to watch the sport over the last year, and its beautiful but so hard to understand! Why is there a new code of points like, every 2 years??
