    I like this product very much. I think IKEA and LIDL are the best companies whatsoever. I have to confess that I will have a similar intermezzo today at home, or should I say "beertermezzo"? :-)

    Added a few things for the final mounting steps that were not obvious from the instructions. Thanks for posting. Very helpful!

    Great video! Thank you!
    Most people that film their IKEA product don’t even know what they are doing. You on the other hand did a great job showing everything very well - slowly and carefully.

  • @joeloclemente

    Love the end part too. It ended up being a good storytelling video. You got the product, you figure how to mount it and do, you show how it works and looks, and then you briefly show yourself cleaning up and having a drink.

    should have fitted those blackout blinds that have channels into the window alcove. I hate gaps, sometimes the shine full sun right into your face on Saturday mornings in summer,

    Is it possible by anyway to mount it drill free?

    • @TimotejStanek
      @TimotejStanek  7 лет назад +1

      +Patricia Padovani You have to use drill. If you have plasterboard walls it is possible without, but I do not recommend this if you do not have enough skills and good tools.

    Hello,
    Can you help me ? I think i threw that strip of paper out. Do you or anybody know what the dimensions are for the 80cm/32 1/2" one ?
    Or maybe i can just assemble it beforehand...

    • @TimotejStanek
      @TimotejStanek  6 лет назад +1

      On my 60cm model, it is exactly 60cm between holes. But to be sure, you can assemble it on table and measure it before drilling.

      I´ve figured it out. The blinds where mounted to tight. After I widen the "holders" in both sides ( with a hammer) it sprang up.

      take it back to IKEA, they will sort it out for you or give you a replacement. My experience with them is really good.

    • @dtrrtd774

      The wall bracket has a flat tip like a screwdriver that the roller blind slots into, which keeps it from rotating as you pull the blinds down.
      The other side with the removable plug is a spring loaded round tip that goes into the hole of the bracket, allowing it to rotate.
      The distance between the brackets has to be correct; if it's too far apart, the blind can fall down if the spring loaded round tip can't remain engaged in the hole if the blind is slid to the left.
      If it's too close, the blind will bind when rolling up and down. They provide a cardboard spacer to use in the installation to make sure it's not set too close; after installation, the spacer is removed, making sure it has enough room.

    • @TimotejStanek
      @TimotejStanek  6 лет назад +1

      +smsno1 I used a screw only because the wall is not vertical. The blind will hold its position but hang into the space then. One do not need a screw on vertical wall.
