Super excited about how many students have already started private tutoring with our team at LSG this year 🥰 with school starting next week, let’s make it OUR year in 2019! 🌟
Lisa's Study Guides hey Lisa I’m studying for the selective schools exam in Victoria, and I really need to work on my essays. Transmuting my mark from a 14/20 to a hopeful 18 would be great. Can you please make a video about essays specifically for the selective schools exam?

LEFTtenant is actually incorrect in Australia - I've placed the word in an Australian text-to-speech app.
BDR153 You and your app are incorrect.
@@radic888 He isn't incorrect, just inaccurate. The 'leftenant' and 'lootenant' pronunciations are respective of different naval ranks ('lootenant' being higher).
My teacher said that it doesn’t matter how you pronounce it, however in the uk they call it LEFTienent and in Australia it’s called LIEUtenant.
Mehdi Hydra Your teacher is incorrect.
@@radic888 no u, "adam adam"
@@edward3709 No, ‘you’, ‘Edward’. Did you learn spelling and punctuation from your teacher, too?
Sweetie... that is the British pronunciation, not the American version. A colloquialism if you will. In the USMC we actually do pronounce it Lieutenant. I say this with 23 years and 4 months of Marine Corps experience only to help you... a little like a technical advisor on a movie role.
I also have a Master's degree in creative writing, and I am currently working on several related books about several generations of the same Marine Corps family serving in the Korean, Vietnam, Gulf War in Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan wars, all pilots, each flying their own respective generation's aircraft, and I get deeply into the family dynamics of a family broken apart because of war... kids, spouses, parents, and home life, writing the story from both the families and the service members prospective, and I think I would very much like your help with my own work if you are interested.
I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 pages of the first draft completed and counting. I am writing it as a single story, but I will break it apart generationally when I get the story finished, in much the same way Louis Lamour does his westerns... i.e. the Sacket family series. I served in the Gulf war myself as a Tow Missile Commander, and I also became a licensed pilot as a diversion while I was in college, to gain the necessary knowledge base to write authoritatively about flying. My college professors always told me to write about what I know, and this is what I know.
