  • big bang just showed up. this is my first time plugging it in. going head to head against my micro vr. It's more than twice the power. it's louder. but, this is really a test of flat tone, and ease of dialing in what I want.
it delivers in all aspects. it just doesn't look as good.

They both sound good. I personally use the Micro VR at home with two micro 210AV cabs. Great tone and enough power. Easy to dial in a great tone as well.

Hey, thanks for making these videos. Helpful for any of us considering the heads or cabs. Nice tone you are getting!! What are those ampeg cabs you are using?

      Thanks man.
For this one, it's two pf112hlf cabs.
I've had them for a while. They're pretty great. Light, compact size, and they look great.
Only downside is they don't quite have enough bottom end to fill a room. But, that's not really why you buy compact rigs anyway.
      They are killer cabinets.

The Big is superior amp compared to the micro VR. It's WAY LOUDER, puchy and clean. Perfect for running your favorite pedala through. The VR is not gig-able with a rock drummer and guitarist and is pretty much a one trick pony.

@austin4669 yes. It's amazing. But, it's big and kind of heavy. If you don't need the bi-amping, or sheer power that is made for, there are better options.
