I agree. I was expecting a generic modern sounding indie pop song, but it pleasantly surprised me. Actually has emotion and a unique sound like music back then did.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like this song very much? I think the lyrics are a bit corny-and I think the melody is weird. I don’t know… It just doesn’t do anything for me. I love the sound of the guitars and bass. But the verses and chorus aren’t that catchy and definitely lack the “ooomph” that the music on My Mind Makes Noises had.
I think the same. but I'm not a fan of this band, I only listen to them so I don't care. but I hope the other songs are good.🫠

This is more like The Cure mixed with Dolores from the Cranberries (vocally I mean). I know Matty Healy produced their first album but honestly I never agreed with the 1975 comparisons. They're way better.

Damn. I expected a generic sounding modern indie pop song, but this pleasantly surprised me. Sounds like a song from the 80s or 90s when artists had a genuinely emotional and unique sound.

I don't care what anybody says. Pale Waves rocks. People may make fun of them for sounding "the same" in all of their songs, but I don't care. I'm a fan no matter what.
but they do. they literally just repeat the same lyrics over and over with basic chords. This isn't good music. Not saying they sound horrible, but they are the same basic stuff in every single song.

Cranberries is 90s music not 80s. Educate yourselves, people.
