this is literally me right now, my wheelchair keeps waking them up...huh
The safety roll came in handy once at work when I tripped over a cart hitch. I felt myself going over and I didn't want to smack my head or break an ankle and I remembered Karate class. Bystanders were impressed (especially at my age) and other than the scrape to my shins I emerged unscathed.
I’ve been doing parkour for 5 years and I’ve never seen somebody in public be impressed without me telling them to watch and I know all of these moves

@@Gordonizon sometimes when people think you are about to be injured, they have their attention on you. If they see some random guy who is obviously an expert nobody even cares. People are weird.
I love how he makes it really accessible to people with no experience and who may be nervous about the larger movements you usually see. And all while being kind and not condescending at all about it. Also the mention of people with disabilities is really lovely too, Great video!

I remember when I was having problems with doing basic flip on materrace on P.E. One night I dreamed about me doing it from one person view and when I woke up I could do this. It was totally crazy for me but I was so happy from results
this is kinda what happened to me, I just woke up one day and randomly knew easy parkour moves and just learned balance, precision, controlling.
I never even looked at parkour videos before that. My brain just randomly told me how to do this miraculous moves.
The thing I'm struggling with the most, is finding a spot where it's possible to efficiently learn and at the same time there's noone around me to judge me xd. I'm literally outside now looking for places to do this as I watch this lol
Go to any random recreational park you should find benches curbs a observatory for pull ups and grass
I'm starting parkour at 29. I wanted to start like 15 years ago but I didn't 'cos I was shy of people judging me. Don't be stupid. Don't waste your life for fear of other people's opinions.

@@joelt2612 no, I started doing muay thai instead, but in the sports centre where I am going they teach parkour lessons too so when I get stronger I may give it a shot.

I'm 63 I like the beginner ideas to do some movements, landings, and safety to progress into something
more complicated.
I'm running around the park and into the playground with the grandkids
are lots of fun.
Something I found helped me, practicing in heavy clothing. Steel toe boots in particular. If you can do a good safety vault or wall run in heavy steel toe boots, you can do almost anything. The extra weight doesn't help so much with strength, but it does wonders to correcting little flaws in your timing since they all get exaggerated due to the change.

Do adult playgrounds exist? If not, we need one in every city, around every block/every neighborhood, etc. Adults need fun exercise, too, not just boring gyms. When I went into middle school and there was no playground, I was sad. I wasn't even a teenager yet and they had already taken away my fun.

I've been playing too much Dying Light and now I feel like it is in my destiny to do parkour
This helped me a lot on getting started
A tip on spinning from someone who used to do a lot of that (ex figure skater):
- try to lock your core to stabilize yourself
- when pulling your arms in pull them evenly toward the center of your chest
- if possible try to get your legs close in together from feet to knees to hips, especially for sticking precision landings
This was how I used to land 540s/720s on one foot on a less than 1/4 inch square surface (tip of a skate blade), so I hope it'll work for you too :D

yeah I know right I do a lot of spinning and when he said you get dizzy I was like " no lol, you can't get dizzy after 2 spins" and then I watched him spin and I was like " that's not how you do it" He doesn't even keep his arms locked in the whole time.

Do you have any tips, I really wanna learn but I havent done a roll in a long time so everytime I sit to practice this, I get so scared to roll (idek y) and dont push myself to roll (physically push myself forward for the roll)
@@user-gq5vs2eg9j I would say that it’s a mental game. Just start from a kneel, and slowly push yourself into a roll. Do that until you get comfortable, and then speed up
