You can totally play kotor brother. I just use the regular monster manual for monsters and just rename them to a star wars monster. I renamed strahd for a sith and have him a lightsaber for my big bad sith master boss. Pretty easy to just take whatever you need from d&d. Awesome video. I hope you do more on sw5e.
thanks you for the support, i know it isnt the greatest, i hope to make an updated, les choppy one when i get time and actually manage to play more often,
@@jekkthrennsgaming1879 I think it’s great, I love more personable laidback style content. Hearing someone’s thorough opinion/explanation of something is super helpful for beginners
Great video man! Just wanted to say that the first thing i thought of when i saw the Monk class was the priest character from Rogue One... Dunno if it's just me xD
I view that berskerers are not just angry warriors but force sensitive angry warriors who (unknowingly) taps into the dark side during their rages. These are folks who were not trained and probably have too low of a sensitivity to attract jedi and sith.
@@jekkthrennsgaming1879 sorry to bother again but I'm curious is there anything like item modification wise to make a vibroblade be able to block a lightsaber or some way to hide a light saber on a vibro blade? Tried Google but it just sends me to sw5e
@@sirpoofs4693 don't apologize, that's what I'm here for. As for vibroweapons blocking lightsabers, that is literally what they were designed to do. It's explained in the KOTOR series games that the alloy used along with the vibrations it produces (hence the name vibro) alow them to parry lightsabers. As for putting a saber into a vibroweapon, there's two ways I can see it done. 1) having a secret emitter in say the cross guard that with a bonus action you can activate, and then just give it the same stats as a hidden blade, but change the damage type to energy. 2) if yiu want to switch between a regular blade and a lightsaber blade, you can have a switch that with a bonus action to use basically makes the lightsaber blade emit around the vibroblade.
Closest you'll find. What I'm saying isn't there isn't monks in the traditional dnd/fantasy sense as they are more like orders or teibes like the echani.
Nice vid but I am fucking baffled you complained about centipede demon for 2 minutes and then brushed the bed of chaos under the rug in 10 seconds. Honestly I kinda liked the centipede demon fight but bed of chaos… my God. Near insufferable

Guardians are mechanically much closer to Paladins rather than fighter and barbarian
Thank you for the video. Among other things, I like how the rules handle "rage" and "spellcasting" on one of the classes.

As a forever dm, I'm used to doing just that. I brought it up for any new players/dms. Hopefully they see this comment and it helps them too.
@@jekkthrennsgaming1879 Us forever dm's gotta stick together!
My friend is super into Star Wars but has never played kotor, we just got into DnD so I’m going to set up kotor 2 as a campaign for him
Thank you, this is still the only video covering the topic 😂

That makes sense.

Haha! That's a way to think on it. Makes sense
Guardian/berserker is a good Savage oppress build
You should check out the old West End Games Star Wars RPG.
Nice vid man, really helped.
Glad I can help!
What classes can droids play? Like I was thinking of monk but I seent some force stuff and im like wait a sec droids can't do that
Droids can play any NON force sensitive class/archetype. The monkey isn't considered a force sensitive class. But a few of its archetypes are.

All you would "need" is someone (player or npc) that is a armstech and knows how to do such things
No monks in Star Wars? What about Rogue One??

This helped a lot thx
Thank you it was informative ^_^
You are most welcome!
There is a better example of a wookie rage: When Kylo Ren kills Han Solo. Chewie enters a rage (Ballistic Approach) and kills everybody.
