I consider myself a very understanding and level headed person, but I would be VERY angry at the vet practice that put her under and cut her for no reason. Anesthesizing an animal is not without risk and for them to have cut her too, and not spayed her seems like an egregious error, not just a a simple mistake. Now, she will have to be anesthetized a 2nd time for an actual spay. Poor Nikki Bella for what she went thru and for what she will have to go thru again. She is very lucky to have you guys tho. I would steer clear of the other Vet from now on tho. 🚫 Glad it was nothing more serious than an unexpected pregnancy and glad the babies are welcome. 😻
I totally agree this is not acceptable at all and our vet practice would have been sued for malpractice if this were to happen. Mind you the vet would also be warned if not fired. Animals die under anesthetics often due to breath holding that cats are notorious for. All the additional vet bills should be paid for by the offending vets in my opinion. I do hope by the time we see this Nikki Bella has had her babies in the right place for birthing and not on your clothes...LOL
And that horrendous long scar!! It's like they were performing an autopsy.... and it obviously bothered and or hurt her, because she constantly licked it!!
You two are such a blessing to this baby girl. That is a huge mistake for a doc to not complete a procedure, I am with everyone else I would call them. It is not cheap to get animals fixed.

I would really love to know just what that vet did to Nikki Bella. They cut her open, they closed her up. But what did they do in between? They charged you for a spay but obviously she wasn't spayed! I think this warrants further investigation in my opinion. Good luck!
Thank you all for having Nikki B checked out. I hope she can have those kittens normally. Who knows what the other vet actually did do. She may need to be at the vet when she is delivering to be on the safe side. Send the bill to the vet that didn't spay her.

I worked for a vet for a couple of years and I suppose mistakes can happen but this is not a mistake they should have made and they should reimburse you for that spay. They cut poor Nikki open and charged you for it, but didn't do their job. They've added to the already huge cat population because of their negligence so I would not go back to them if possible. Thank God you are taking care of her since I know you will find loving homes for the babies. One positive thing is that she is a beautiful kitty and I bet those kittens will be absolutely adorable!

This is straight up malpractice. The vet better make amends, like spaying and neutering all the kittens for free. I would put in a complaint with the veterinary licensing board. DON'T LET THE VET GET AWAY WITH THIS!!!!!!! Spaying is NOT CHEAP!!!!! And you paid BIG BUCKS to have it done and got NOTHING.
Question, is the vet that messed up Nikki the same vet that supposedly gave Ivan a tetanus shot but yet he still got tetanus??? The vet definitely should be paying for any and all vet bills. Veterinarian practices are more specialized than they used to be. The veterinarian who "treated" Ivan ( a large animal) won't be the same one who allegedly spayed Nikki Bella ( a small animal).

They don't need to go to court if they can make a deal outside. They should reimbursed for the entire procedure (spay) that never occurred, should not be billed for the xray and any subsequent vet bills incurred because of the pregnancy. The vet should also pay for a procedure post partum.. (spay) That should be the least the vet should do for them.
The whole thing is just disturbing because we trust that the vet knows what they are doing and you find out they are dishonest and incompetent. It’s a good thing Nicki didn’t need an emergency surgery for a problem

Megan, you are too forgiving. Ok, I had to google the double uteruses thing, and yes, cats do have two uteruses. Mystery solved. It must be that one uterus was removed and the other left behind. But that is not forgivable. A new vet should be supervised by an experienced vet, and an experienced vet must have been impaired to make this mistake. Oh man, my blood is boiling. That is kitten kneading behavior she is doing with the t-shirt, she is self-comforting. Make a place for the birth, she is ready. I really think the first vet must reimburse you, and should be willing to pay your new vet bills. This is a cost that you would not have incurred if they had done their job. Instead, they did her an injury. It's unforgivable. I've had vets that I didn't like and didn't take my animals back to, but I've never even heard of anything this negligent.

I have been involved with cat rescue my whole life, getting ferals fixing, placed, etc. I have never heard of a car going to be spayed, and having the poor cat put to sleep and stitched closed. Then for her to get pregnant. You are taking it really well and not being mad at the Vet. Love you and Meghan to pieces.

I would let the vet who was to do the procedure know. Just so they know something happened and there was a mistake. They may be able to look at their schedule and records for that day and figure out what happened. If I was them, I would want to know what happened and so they may be able to prevent it from happening again.

I’d personally be talking to the previous veterinarian, taking with me the X-ray pics, the new vets name and number and the previous bill asking and demanding a refund of the charges made for said spade surgery. Good luck with the future babies of NikiBella and I’d make an area for the nursery and nesting area.
It’s very sad this happened as you thought she was fixed but on the bright side the kittens will have a great home at LHL’s when they are old enough. Hopefully the vet does the procedure for free when she weans the kittens.
LE, since it didn’t work, you do know that you can get your money back for what you paid to have her spayed. Why should you pay for something that wasn’t done properly.
That's probably why she kept licking her belly after her surgery. She new something was wrong. You 2 are very forgiving. I wld let the vet that did her surgery know what happened. I love you LE and Meagan ❤️
Looks like 5 to me.. heck maybe even 6. Hard to tell. I had a cat that i found as a teeny tiny 4 week old baby. She would always work her paws on EVERYTHING. Everytime she did she kept her nose down against whatever it was and would drool everywhere. She would do it on my belly and my shirt would get soaked. 🤣 I would call it her "nur-nur" time.. because it was like she was nursing. I think she was separated from her mom too young and she just always kept that nursing motion as a soothing thing. She was the sweetest cat in the entire world and I still miss her every day. RIP Janis 💗 My current cat is a big fan of working his paws also, but he doesn't do the nose/mouth thing. He just loves making biscuits!
I call it comfort nursing even though she’s not nursing on a momma cat my brothers 2 cats do it occasionally and I’m not sure how old they are. I’d definitely get in touch with that vet that supposedly spayed her and have a talk with them and show them her xrays and they should credit your money back for something they didn’t even fully do. I’m excited to see baby kittens.
LE cats are professional biscuit makers. That's what she was doing at the end of the video. Making biscuits lol. But really she was showing how she felt safe and content. My cat's do that all the time. Especially when they lay on me.

That vet that originally say they spayed her really needs to at least be informed. They need to figure out what happened so it doesn't happen again. There are so many unwanted animals already so they don't need to be contributing to the problem. I know y'all will take the best care possible. 💜
I would have asked the vet for it in writing what they observed and that she was cut but that it seems there was never an attempt to spay. I'd be taking that w the xrays etc to the place that supposedly spayed asking for my money back. Crazy.

Made a cardboard box w towels & soft material. Birth can start & last several hours. My young kitty,5 months old when she came into heat.Thought she was too young. She had 6 kittens first & ( only litter) She went out into garage where my husband was working on a project. Crying pacing.. first kitty came quickly..we grabbed the box. She was cleaning first when 2nd started coming..2 hrs total time for all 6 We replaced bedding w more old fabric. By morning it was replaced also. Bloody. She settle into the the fresh area & that was their bed.We knew nothing. Relied on my Mom. Glad you got answers @ vet . Pray for safe birth. Their gonna be cute. Gotta keep tomcats away. Some have killed babies per my Mom when babies tiny
What she was doing at the end of 2 fixed males do that. Our vet said it's just a comfort thing from when they would nurse off their mom kneeling and sucking. Or males are half brother from same mom 3 litters apart. When they stop doing that the spot they had in their mouth is usually fairly wet.

id go back to the first vet and demand a refund. i wouldn't accept that stuff happens. they were paid to do a job and they did not do it. it's like buying something and not getting it. if you put a deposit on a house and then they rent or sell it to someone else you would ask for your money back. We have a cat that does the kneading on my husbands arm or neck and drools. He was terrified he first time she did it. The vet said it’s a self soothing thing for her that cats taken away from mom early can develop it. Our cat was an older kitten still with mom when we adopted her so who knows. I’m sure she will be a great mom. God must of had plans for her to be a mommy.

I would 100% go to the original vet, w her and prove to them that she is in fact pregnant, and find out exactly what they did to her after cutting her open and then demand reimbursement for the spay they did not do…
So weird did they have an apprentice or some novice helping? I’ve heard of they take and just do an assembly line with some of these! My vet cost a fortune she’s a cat only that she would never do an assembly line but I’m just saying I have heard that in the past for vets who do it cheaply or for free for charities or rescues.

kneading their blanket cats claim it as their own from the scent glands in their paws. They knead also as a comforting thing.
My cats used to suck and need, they find it calming. It's the same movement as when feeding as a kitten from mum .

At the 10:57 mark...my cat 🐈😺 suckles too! They only do it when they're SUPER happy & just want to be a kitten 😸 again!! That is THE SWEETEST!

I’d personally be talking to the previous veterinarian, taking with me the X-ray pics, the new vets name and number and the previous bill asking and demanding a refund of the charges made for said spade surgery. Good luck with the future babies of NikiBella and I’d make an area for the nursery and nesting area.

It’s very sad this happened as you thought she was fixed but on the bright side the kittens will have a great home at LHL’s when they are old enough. Hopefully the vet does the procedure for free when she weans the kittens.
LE, since it didn’t work, you do know that you can get your money back for what you paid to have her spayed. Why should you pay for something that wasn’t done properly.
Not to mention the stress the cat went through and there's four more kittens in competition for good homes.

That is normal cat behavior. It happens when they self-soothe. My large bobtail does that when he is ready for bed at night.
Looks like 5 to me.. heck maybe even 6. Hard to tell.
I had a cat that i found as a teeny tiny 4 week old baby. She would always work her paws on EVERYTHING. Everytime she did she kept her nose down against whatever it was and would drool everywhere. She would do it on my belly and my shirt would get soaked. 🤣 I would call it her "nur-nur" time.. because it was like she was nursing. I think she was separated from her mom too young and she just always kept that nursing motion as a soothing thing. She was the sweetest cat in the entire world and I still miss her every day. RIP Janis 💗
My current cat is a big fan of working his paws also, but he doesn't do the nose/mouth thing. He just loves making biscuits!
I call it comfort nursing even though she’s not nursing on a momma cat my brothers 2 cats do it occasionally and I’m not sure how old they are. I’d definitely get in touch with that vet that supposedly spayed her and have a talk with them and show them her xrays and they should credit your money back for something they didn’t even fully do. I’m excited to see baby kittens.
LE cats are professional biscuit makers. That's what she was doing at the end of the video. Making biscuits lol. But really she was showing how she felt safe and content. My cat's do that all the time. Especially when they lay on me.

That vet that originally say they spayed her really needs to at least be informed. They need to figure out what happened so it doesn't happen again. There are so many unwanted animals already so they don't need to be contributing to the problem. I know y'all will take the best care possible. 💜

I would have asked the vet for it in writing what they observed and that she was cut but that it seems there was never an attempt to spay. I'd be taking that w the xrays etc to the place that supposedly spayed asking for my money back. Crazy.

If I lived in your area I'd wanna know who did this... What vet!?!? I worked for a vet for 5 yrs and that is NOT a accidental mistake, that is huge and should have NEVER happened!!! I don't know guys but at the very least they'd be reimbursing me for the surgery that didn't happen. I'd probably even go as far as court... But that's just me. You guys are kind and loving and Nikki Bella is lucky to have y'all. 💗🐈⬛

I call it making muffins. My 5 year old cat Wolfie still makes muffins and purrs. She’s definitely looking for a place to have those babies.
Made a cardboard box w towels & soft material. Birth can start & last several hours. My young kitty,5 months old when she came into heat.Thought she was too young. She had 6 kittens first & ( only litter) She went out into garage where my husband was working on a project. Crying pacing.. first kitty came quickly..we grabbed the box. She was cleaning first when 2nd started coming..2 hrs total time for all 6 We replaced bedding w more old fabric. By morning it was replaced also. Bloody. She settle into the the fresh area & that was their bed.We knew nothing. Relied on my Mom. Glad you got answers @ vet . Pray for safe birth. Their gonna be cute. Gotta keep tomcats away. Some have killed babies per my Mom when babies tiny
She is making biscuits! Cats do that kneading when they want to soothe themselves. It’s what they did to mom when they were kittens.
What she was doing at the end of 2 fixed males do that. Our vet said it's just a comfort thing from when they would nurse off their mom kneeling and sucking. Or males are half brother from same mom 3 litters apart. When they stop doing that the spot they had in their mouth is usually fairly wet.

Awww bless. My apology for my statement on the last stream. Am sure spaying and neutering is common practice that shouldn't be mistaken. Ty for the cat music idea. Hope everything turns out ok. My cat also talks to me and has different chirps for different things I say. Who said cat's can't communicate. Bless
id go back to the first vet and demand a refund. i wouldn't accept that stuff happens. they were paid to do a job and they did not do it. it's like buying something and not getting it. if you put a deposit on a house and then they rent or sell it to someone else you would ask for your money back. LE and Megan don't be afraid to ask for that money. best of luck.

I’m glad she is pregnant and it’s not a tumor or something! I wouldn’t be so understanding of the vets that “spade” her.
We have a cat that does the kneading on my husbands arm or neck and drools. He was terrified he first time she did it. The vet said it’s a self soothing thing for her that cats taken away from mom early can develop it. Our cat was an older kitten still with mom when we adopted her so who knows.
I’m sure she will be a great mom. God must of had plans for her to be a mommy.

I would 100% go to the original vet, w her and prove to them that she is in fact pregnant, and find out exactly what they did to her after cutting her open and then demand reimbursement for the spay they did not do…
So weird did they have an apprentice or some novice helping? I’ve heard of they take and just do an assembly line with some of these! My vet cost a fortune she’s a cat only that she would never do an assembly line but I’m just saying I have heard that in the past for vets who do it cheaply or for free for charities or rescues.
