I'm a student of organic chemistry, there is A very big difference between my chemistry knowledge before and after watching your video, I've seen all of your chemistry videos(not only organic but all chemistry type) I wish one day I'll do the same work as you do, becoming a good tutor and spreading knowledge, god bless you 👍if you read this comment by any chance, please give a reply, I'll be very happy, I'm your fan
MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank for another awesome video/lecture on How to Calculate the Original Price of an item after a Discount. This topic really helps the general public with sales, goods, service and everyday living.
After all these years it's finally registered it must have been the way you explained it I just did a problem on paper myself and it came out perfect thank you
i used to be able to do this as a kid in like the 9th grade and no1 taught me how, now as an adult I've tried this problem a few times briefly on my own and can't do it, so here I am lol.
In the next video, you should calculate the original price of the amount of money you will get when you do your face reveal due to the fact that the video will lit rally go kinda viral luv. You’re literally so close to 2M like you have nothing to lose. You’ve helped thousands of students with math/science like we need to see who’s behind this❤️✨🥵
my way new price times (100 divide (100- discount)) example 320 times (100 divide (100- 20)) 320 times (100 divide 80) 320 times (1.25) =400 i think quick and easy
Can someone pls help me with this. This formula doesn’t work for this. Casey buys a bracelet. She pays for the bracelet and pays \$0.72$0.72 in sales tax. The sales tax rate is 6\%6%. What is the original price of the bracelet, before tax?
Here's my way for problem number two without a calculator. 12,450=(1+ - r) = original. 12,450 = (.83) original. Long division 12450 by 0.83 But really, you're dividing by 83. The 0.83 will be important at the end. 83 x 10 = 830 83 x 5 = 415 415 + 830 = 1245 So 15 X 83 = 1245. Now write 15 above and subtract 1245 - 1245 to get your remainder of 0. You will notice there is an extra 0 that can be dropped down or that wasn't used. Simply turn .83 into 83 by adding two zeros onto that 15 which makes 1500, and lastly add that unused remaining zero onto that 1500 to get 15,000. It may sound more complicated, but it works for me.
Basically to make things easier mathematically you want to take that decimal away. Look at it this way. What is 8x4. It's 32. Now notice in the 320/.80 your dividing a number that has 100s place (320) with a number smaller than zero 0.80) 8 divides perfectly into 32 4 times. Just add two zeros and you have 400. Does that make since?

Nice
cool i krank 90s
Straightforward and usable; I've been doing this clumsily for years.
I hope you dont do the first part since it isn’t necessary, 100%-20% = 80% convert to decimal and is 0.8, then divide.
Thank you so much! I am so glad you posted this and you did so for free. I have always had difficulty understanding math, and I got this!

thank you man, this saved me from my teacher giving a dirty look at me
OH MY GOD THIS WAS SO MUCH EASIER THAN I THOUGHT!!!!!! ThANK YOU
After all these years it's finally registered it must have been the way you explained it I just did a problem on paper myself and it came out perfect thank you
Thank you so much this was a big help in solving my equation!
Well elaborated.... simple and quick
Thanks a lot you helped me in my assessment :)
Love yer vids! You make learning easy!
A very helpful, video. Helpful indeed

Helps a lot for both chem and math, thanks!
my way
new price times (100 divide (100- discount))
example
320 times (100 divide (100- 20))
320 times (100 divide 80)
320 times (1.25)
=400
i think quick and easy
Thanks for introducing us a new formula
Im proud of this teacher
When are u gonna do a face reveeeeal
thank you so much you have been saving my life day by day
I don’t know how to thank you my friend. ❤️🙏🏼

Thank you for helping me
THANK YOU SO MUCH MY TEACHER CONFUSED TF OUT OF ME.
Thank you so much this really helped me
When would you use the + in the formula?
isn't this sorta similar to the compound interest formula? Is there some kind of connection?
Thanks so much
*please please please do a video explaining EVERYTHING about equilibrium!!!!* I have exam the day after yesterday!!
The day after yesterday would be the present day you were typing that comment
a very easy and easy trick I will surely use it I'm exam test
What app do you use
ty this is not a bad solution
Thanks
thanks king
OMG thank u very much
where did u get the 1 from?
1 represents 100% of the original price
This guy sounds like Mark Wahlberg😂 I love his videos, though he's a great teacher.
I looooòveeeeeeee your videooosss it helpeeeddd meee a lot and make me motivated to study more Thank you!!! Keep it up!!
i cant believe im here, but thanks for the video :')

How did you get 83 (1-R .20) can you explain how to do (1-R) ???
You are wonderful 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You helped me from getting punished, cause i have homework just like this one
thank youuuuu
ty
Could someone explain why 1 + or - r please? Why 1? Thank you!
He explained this in the very previous video
you saved me!
thx :)
How did you link a computer with your brain and learn everything?
Here's my way for problem number two without a calculator.
12,450=(1+ - r) = original.
12,450 = (.83) original.
Long division 12450 by 0.83 But really, you're dividing by 83. The 0.83 will be important at the end.
83 x 10 = 830
83 x 5 = 415
415 + 830 = 1245
So 15 X 83 = 1245.
It may sound more complicated, but it works for me.
can u help me with the first example without a calculator? I got 4 and not 400, when I dived 320/0,80
@@evamohammad4712 yeah when I get home after work I'll rewatch the video and help
@@evamohammad4712I see what you did. You divided 320 by 80. You need to divide 320 by 0.80 that will give you 400
Basically to make things easier mathematically you want to take that decimal away. Look at it this way. What is 8x4. It's 32. Now notice in the 320/.80 your dividing a number that has 100s place (320) with a number smaller than zero 0.80) 8 divides perfectly into 32 4 times. Just add two zeros and you have 400. Does that make since?
so I should move the decimal to right? I know how to divid but it confuse me whith those decimales 😅@@YourLifeWasting
I still dont get it :/
I simply cannot understand. please help.
HOW ARE YOU GETTING 1
See 2000 is new price 10% discount 2000=(1-0.1)X. 2000=(0.9)X 2000/0.9 =2222 cross check 2222x10% =222 and final price 1998???
i love you
me no get it
Bruh how the heck did 0.20 BECOME 0.80 BY SAYING MINUSE ONE MAKES NO SENCE
