But then we went into the 2nd chain from the hook, we’re we supposed to have 2 added chains before we did that or go right into it, making that measurement shorter? Thank you
You can hold up your chain to a measuring tape or on your body. For more accurate work you can do your first row and hold it up to your body or a measuring tape to make sure it’s right or adjust Accordingly

It may take some trial and error to figure out how long you want it to be! You could add one extra chain just in case to make sure you’re covered!
