- I really, REALLY don't like pay to win Minecraft servers. So my team and I decided to come back to our old friend TreeMC for a final duping session. This is what happened...

If you want to do a part 3, do this:
1. Set up a nice, big series of dupe stashes over a few days.
2. Wait a few months.
3. Distribute dupes
4. Try to book ban or chunk ban mods and owners
5. Tell mods that you've got 20 dupe stashes made over the course of 3 - 6 months
6. Server must either accept hyperinflation, or rollback by several months. Either way, they're destroyed.

I like how 2b2t is so legendary and feared that people treat the players as an elite army of griefers and hackers that could invade their server at any time. Thank you Sal, for bringing me back with these videos to something akin to the good old days of Team Avolition and demonstrating that, yes still indeed, these Minecraft servers that are full of themselves can be brought down a peg or two.

Sal, next time play the waiting game. Log on to a non-EULA compliant server, stash duped items everywhere and disconnect. After a week/month, log back in and distribute shulker boxes everywhere. They can't rollback a month's worth of progress so they'll just have to live with the fact that there are stashes of duped items ready to be distributed at any time.
they could just rollback one day to before they were duped, and then just try to find where the dupe stash was (many servers have blockloggers)

Hi I'm kind of late to this video, but as someone who's put more than 1000 hours into this server I have something to add to this:
I joined the server in early 2019 when it was first released. The only gamemode that was playable was Towny, and there was basically barely anything on their Store that was expensive (I think there was maybe 3 ranks available). The player base was also super small, and the staff/owner were regularly online and HEAVILY monitored cheating/hacking, like annoyingly too often.
I'd also like to note here that in 2019, the owner Treeo was 13 years old (Which is kinda impressive) and a lot of his monitoring and "fixing" of the servers issues were really delayed and downright wrong. I stopped playing mid 2019 because of this, and a lot of other OG players also did for the same reason. It was also super easy to exploit the in-game shop and earn money super easy. This doesn't even include the other website shop donations that the player can buy to make it easier to earn money. All and all the owner and staff never did an impressive job in making their players happy, but throughout all of that their player base grew.
Early 2020 I decided to join back because I heard that they were adding in Prison (and im a sucker for prison servers lol) and it totally surprised me how big the server had gotten and how many things they added to their online shop. They also made it so that you couldn't keep the same donor rank for each gamemode (Towny, Prison, Pixelmon) and you had to buy each one individually. Which, again, is literally a shit way of making people pay more but I guess it makes the owner more money so...
I thought since the server had grown so big that their staff must be doing things correctly right? Well for starters, in just a few weeks of their Prison being open to play the economy had gone to shit. Treeo's (and the developers') solution to THAT problem was to inflate everything, which made the gamemode even worse than it was before.
Of course I didn't just sit around and complain about it, I tried telling Treeo what the problems were and how to fix it (Because we've known each other for a while and he knows me personally) I don't exactly remember the response, but I know that nothing about it was fixed, so I ended up just leaving all together.
It's kind of impressive that a 15 year old could grow a server this large and make a living off of it, but his way of dictating and "fixing" server issues such as this P2W thing just doesn't make sense. I'm actually kinda glad SalC1 did these videos cause TreeMC really deserved this type of harsh punishment on their reputation. They've always been a mediocre to shit server to play on.

I joined tree mc when there was only about 10 players on the server, I joined the server skybase and lived next to the owner, one day they literally tore down my house and trashed my items because a donor wanted my spot, literally got my shit trashed cuz i didnt pay for the shitty fuckin server. making me tonights biggest loser

Kelly Nolen No, set up stashes like 2 weeks in advance. And i don’t mean like 5 stashes i mean like 20-30 stashes. Then give it like 2 weeks then do the crusade. But only use like 1-3 stashes. Give it a couple days and do it again. Then at the same time though slowly drop stuff to random people. Don’t do it a lot though, just enough to slowly kill the in game economy over time. make them have to do a rollback every couple days but during those days between you just make random people absurdly rich.

@@SuperDominicS to be entirely fair, it's probably more of a checklist, since it's a player-run town within the server.
something like:
1. do not grief.
2. if someone griefs you, leave it for a while so higher-ups in the town can figure out who did it and with what tools
3. once griefer is located and roundly shunned (and probably reported to server mods), fix your house rather than leaving it destroyed forever as it will otherwise look out of place
but the way they've phrased it as "no griefing", "no fixing griefs", and "no leaving griefed houses unfixed" is really awkward and makes the whole thing kind of dumb lol (not that it was even close to the dumbest thing going on in that server tho lol)

Duping is because he's using a PAID FOR hacked client, which breaks the EULA of distributed hacked versions of the game, and getting money from distribution of any modified game files.

honestly, the way I would go about this is to make a duping base (as you did), but distribute the items over a long period (over a month) via the server's own market in small amounts for cheap
essentially, this would cause the demanded price for valuable items to become so low that they're practically free, making the donation system worthless to most players, and because it was over so long a period any rollback of it would cause most if not all players to leave the server. they wouldn't have anything to do to combat the ruination of their server.
it would be like 1930s germany, where the money was so worthless that if you saw a wheelbarrow full of money it would be more worthwhile to dump out the wheelbarrow's contents and take it alone

I'm still curious as to how it qualifies as taking advantage of children. Kids go "hey mom I wanna buy this" and then it's up to parents to be like " no, it's crap" or " yes, here's money for some dumb game" maybe I'm missing something.
The LemonHeads taking advantage of children means making something appealing to kids so that they spend money, not realizing what they have done. It’s like candy flavored vape. It appeals to people who don’t know better. And it’s the worst when done to children since they are uneducated and do not understand the concept of money, and some parents will do anything to shut a child up, even give a credit card, expecting a 10 dollar max purchase, but in reality losing much more. So if this staff member was actually competent, this wouldn't be a reason to ban someone without solid proof of them using a script to be invisible rather than using an in-game feature.

Either the server owner is completely incompetent, along with every other staff (this doesn't include making a P2W in the first place mind you) or they never banned the item and the person who banned here is just abusing their power. The latter is more likely of the two situations than everyone not realizing they can blacklist items from being spawned/created.

So basically my friends and I played this server when it had like an avg of 10 ppl daily. We were like the heart of the server. We helped him with plugins etc. Eventually we left bc the server was boring asf. It sucks to see that the server turned out like this.

I play on the server, it's not ptw since there isn't any winning, it also doesn't break the toc- they were updated. By most he means 95% of the people who play on the server are over 18, we know that because just about everyone in the server (especially donators) are friends and open about it.

As of right now, the EULA is very *vague* and needs to either be emphasized or elaborated on what is breaking the EULA. That is why so many servers gave up on following the EULA like Cosmic for example which even caged their EULA Merchant
