I used to live within walking distance of Huntington Station, about a 5-10 min metro ride to Reagan. My apartment had a beautiful view of DCA's arrivals on their final descent over the Potomac. Also, landing at DCA can offer a stunning view of the National Harbor!
There were some that weren't directly covered, to be honest, and I may post a pinned comment with the list. DCA's current exceptions, as of October 2024, are LAX, PHX, AUS, DEN, SFO, SEA, LAS, SLC, PDX and SJU.
Video’s great! Graphics are clean and well done! Research and video shots are solid. One thing to point out … where DCA is marked on the map is far west (on the West Virginia border) of where the airport actually is. Or, is that by design to explain the perimeter rule? I wasn’t clear. Otherwise this is a fantastic vid that’s super helpful for those who have yet to travel through DCA! 😊
The perimeter was the important part for that, and I used the same graphic from three years ago, so it may be a bit off when recalibrated for a different output size (the old video was in 4K, this one wasn't). The airport, of course, is in far northeastern Virginia :)
Don't forget to do ASMR Airport Walk Of The Airports you've been to and have not been to including: Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York: JFK and LaGuardia, Newark, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Boston, Charlotte, Raleigh, Orlando, Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, Rochester (NY), Denver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Nashville, Kansas City, St. Louis, Salt Lake City, Des Moines, Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, San Antonio, Tucson, Phoenix, Austin, Lubbock, Midland/Odessa, Harlingen, Corpus Christi, Amarillo, El Paso, Portland, Seattle, Little Rock, Hartford, Providence, Richmond, Charleston, Savannah, Greenville/Spartanburg, Myrtle Beach, Bozeman, Boise, Spokane, Cleveland, Columbus, Sarasota, Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville, Fort Myers, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Panama City, Destin/Fort Walton Beach, Daytona Beach, Birmingham, Burbank, Orange County, Honolulu, Fairbanks, Anchorage, Witchita, Louisville, Portland (ME), Jackson (MS), Kalamazoo, Flint (MI), Omaha, Renoe-Tahoe, Albuquerque, Greensboro, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Milwaukee, Madison, Sioux Falls, Rapid City Bismarck, Fargo, Grand Forks, Toledo, Akron, and Minneapolis/St. Paul.
You are correct regarding PDX; I read my spreadsheet wrong when making this video :) They do serve LAS and LAX, and many other airports, but the list on the right is only of those whose service is the closest commercial airport to the state's capital. Nevada's capital's closest airport is RNO, which doesn't have nonstop service to DCA, and neither does SMF, Sacramento's airport. I'm realizing I could have made that clearer though. Thanks for your input!

There are few flights that I consider more what direction we'll be landing than DCA so I know which side I want to sit on!
nice intro animation
also i always found dca to be quite interesting
That's great, thank you!
Good thing you're specific about destinations in and out of DCA's perimeter.

Hey, man. Love your videos. Any thoughts on doing tours of airports outside the U.S.?
There are several on my shortlist, and a near guarantee of one next year!
Good and informative, AA I believe still services PHL from DCA.
They do, along with dozens of other destinations. I couldn't list them all!

American does not serve PDX from DCA, it does serve LAX and LAS.
