Finishing up my GRC Analyst Certification at USF in a few months. This is a complete career change for me. Any pointers on scoring a job as a newbie would be greatly appreciated.
@lionelcohoone9392 Here's the way to go about it. 1. Specialize in an area of cybersecurity. (I recommend GRC: GovernanceRiskandCompliance) 2. Get training for the role 3.get at least one cybersecurity certification (I recommend the Security + or the CGRC) 4. Update your resume with keywords and phrases 5. Optimize your LinkedIn profile and make sure it matches your resume 6. Apply to at least 5 jobs a day regardless of if you meet the requirements or not 7. Practice with mock interviews How to get cybersecurity experience: ruclips.net/video/tlxDSe4cv0U/видео.htmlsi=JmtxQ__5t58Ar-28 Non-technical Cybersecurity roles: ruclips.net/user/shortsvBx4W-6OGiM?si=YDB_sdUjuLBbWAMX
Thank you sir! You provided great information. Btw. Is there a concise guide of the GRC and the relevant parts of the RMF that one can access, like a pocket guide.
Hi. There is an RMF chart in NIST 800-37. They might be different pocket guides for the different individual frameworks under GRC but not one that has all of them included
