Fantastic guys. I think for all viewers showing a quick actual example of a mouse move or invoking a pattern or something for each enquiry of UIA you talk about would help viewers.
I can follow what you guys are doing but a lot probably will be confused without seeing it in action.
Great work Joe for bring everyone together.
Descolada is an incredibly nice guy for sharing & Isaias is extraordinarily talented at breaking things down for us & asking the burning questions we have

Thank you! Late last week Isaias and I created a shorter / simpler video for showing how to use UIA. I will probably release it tomorrow...

I love all these streams and knowledge you're sharing, I just wish I had the time to go through them all and absorb them fully. Thanks!

Glad you're enjoying them! Yeah, it is a lot of time however UIA is fairly complex. :( I wish it was simpler but at least it's now an option... :)

Could you make a more detailed tutorial for the event listeners? For example to show a message box when an program element changes its Name/Value?

I used treewalker and loop to find windows element until they are active (similar to winwaitactive in AHK). Any suggestion for a better solution to this?
Event handler seems like the thing I should look into. Any pointer would be great.
Context: I can’t install ahk in the environment I’m working on and had to use VBA instead.

You do know that you don't actually have to install auto hotkey correct? You just need to have the file on your computer. I believe there's also a way to just use the autohotkey.DLL

Yes, I see where you’re going. That’s definitely one option if I’m not sharing my script (and the fact that I didn’t know this library existed).
Another reason for doing it in vba is because the inputs for the automation are in excel. Referring to it without using coms made it slightly easier for me (and possibly for my other colleagues who may want to use it too).
Anyway, looks like I need to start looking into this library now.

@@karchunchong7104 Personally I find COM much easier than UIA... And there is a VBA to COM Excel converter...
