    In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' on our Patreon page (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access it here: www.patreon.com/posts/stroller-buyers-37953864 As an independent, consumer-oriented reviewer, we have fewer revenue-streams open to us than the majority of other channels out there, so we do ask for a small donation for access to this guide (as well as a free consultation and access to our other Patreon content). Thanks so much for your help!

    Hi everybody,
    There's been a lot of talk lately about 'Greenwashing,' which is the process by which businesses promote their products as 'sustainable', 'eco-friendly' and so on, while in actual fact, their manufacturing processes and business models clearly show this to be nothing more than a marketing ploy. As soon as I heard about this concept (and even that several major companies have been penalized for it), I realized that this practice really defines the approach of virtually every major manufacturer in the stroller industry. If you'd be interested in reading more about this, please check out our article: 'Rampant Greenwashing in the Stroller Industry,' here: www.patreon.com/posts/rampant-in-38755846

    I know these are in two different categories, but I was looking at the Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 and comparing it to the Joolz Aer. We currently have a Mutsy Nio and it takes up so much place in our car trunk. The Baby Jogger looks perfect in everyday use, but is just as big when folded. I prefer the size of the Joolz Aer, but the wheels might be too flimsy for everyday use. What stroller can you recommend?

Even the 2 versions are only available in one or maybe 2 German online shops, but in all honesty that change in the central locking mechanism, the fact that the upper bar is gone, the fact that it's almost as heavy and wide as an Elite 1, I would rather save money and buy an Elite 1 on sale...I really feel like as times go by quality standards reduce, unfortunately.

    Hello, I am looking to purchase a stroller like this (one hand fold, relatively light). I was looking at the city mini gt2 or the thule spring. Are there any other strollers of this type that you would recommend over the city mini gt2?

    • @klynn_nonya7
      @klynn_nonya7 Год назад +2

      I also was considering the Thule spring BUT ended up with the GT2 because of the better tires and all terrain capabilities and the all wheel suspension also it can hold a bassinet and carseat and the Thule spring cannot hold a bassinet just a carseat. The thule folds a little more compact BUT overall the one hand fold for the GT2 is pretty darn flat and fits in the smallest spaces in our boot of our little Toyota Camry. Babyjogger also offers a LIFETIME frame warranty and excellent customer service! Even after a year of using the GT2 I am STILL in love with it and don’t regret buying it compared to the Thule spring. Babyjogger is an AMAZING brand with high quality baby products and great brand integrity!!!

      @BarnevognverkstedNo  4 года назад +3

      Thanks, glad you like our videos :) We will be covering both of these models in the future and comparing them to the GT2. In short though, the GT2 is better than both of these, and without a reversible seat, 4 wheels are just a negative in my experience, due to the potential for alignment / wobble issues and poorer maneuvering.

  • @kakefyll
    @kakefyll 4 года назад +6

    I find that the GT2 is a bit large for its class, its now wider between he back wheels and now also heavier. If you add just a little more weight you have the superior driveability of the elite. Why I went with that one. If I were to go for a true small size urban only popping through the shops stroller Id go for something smaller. Like an uppababy cruz or something. The original GT is a little better as a small stroller imo because it weighs less and is more narrow. You can just buy one used + the extra legrest thats sold seperatly and you have a way cheaper, just as good stroller.
    Ive never had issues with where you put the bassinet or carseat on the stroller or any issues with the curved bar either, I think you need to treat your babyjoggers quite rough to break them . Really good quality brand

    • @sumairadaud
      @sumairadaud 4 года назад +1

      I agree! I owned a GT from 2012-2016, used it with kid two and three (sometimes even put both kids in it! #guilty!) But it was still in great like new condition when I sold it, and I never had a problem with the mounting bracket or the curved bar. I told this secret of mine with putting two kids in it, just to show that something as bizarre as that cant even break it! Lol! Now I'm pregnant a fourth time and I'm just gonna get an Elite...not Elite 2... Even tho I'm not getting an Elite 2, I'm still curious about mechanics.

    • @sumairadaud
      @sumairadaud 3 года назад

      @@BarnevognverkstedNo well for me seat size and handle heights aren't a factor, because they're enough for me on the original GT. However, the points u made about no crossbar and the technically 2 step fold, these things bother me. I do like the footrest. It gives better accessibility to the basket. But, are these factors to consider which one to choose? The points i stated, are they really that big of a deal to get the GT2 for basically the same price as the original GT? I dont know I feel like that fold will annoy me on the GT2...im so confused!

    • @sumairadaud

      Reasons why I didn't like it:
      I have small hands so the fold was two handed for me. I had to use one hand for #1 and the other for #2.
      Basket access from footrest was not worth it. it was still tiny, just like the back of the original.
      Lack of central bar on top made it very wiggly.
      Seat felt less padded. I compared!

    • @sumairadaud
      @sumairadaud 4 года назад

      I'm confused, the Mini is just 3 pounds lighter, but has 10 inch wheels, the GT has 8.5 inch wheels. Weighwise you aren't downsizing a whole lot, but you are upsizing the wheel size. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @eyerollemoji
      @eyerollemoji 4 года назад

      I don't have a mini, but I do have a swift and and a gt.
      It's funny that you want to get rid of the gt for a smaller stroller because I did the opposite--- sold my city tour for the gt. It's way more substantial and a better stroller for a growing toddler.
      Anyway, the air filled wheels on a mb are def better than the gt wheels by far, but I wouldn't choose my swift over my gt for anything other than beach days/dirty rocky walks/hiking kinda things and I would feel the same about a mini. It does glide pretty effortlessly over rocky terrain, but it's not a better stroller.
      Keep your anniversary gt. Get a 2nd stroller instead. I really think you'd regret getting rid of it
