I wish I started at 20 but I got all the partying, cheap pleasures and distractions out of my system. I just turned 30 and the reason I'm so focused now is because I took the last decade to discover who I am and have a blast. I don't look at that time as a waste personally and I got really lucky nothing bad happened to me. Also, I WASNT MATURE ENOUGH to handle success. Just focus on where you at and compete only against yourself.
I regret all the cheap pleasures in my 20’s. A lot of people don’t realize how important those 10 years of your life are. Glad you finally figured it out.

I’m 33 and looking back on my 20s, I wish I partied more. I read a lot of books on business and self improvement and really chased success but I fell flat with nothing to show for it.
If you read a bunch of self development and especially business during your 20s there no possible way if you were applying knowledge that you wouldn’t have 100-500k in your bank. Hell making only 40k a year without any investments or extra work for that long is over 500k. You messed up with a bad rental, expensive food and what ever else if you don’t have more then half of that after all the expenses and bills.. and if you do have that, then that’s “something to show” considering most 35 year olds have no where year that.
you didnt miss out on anything, those books are experienced gained and not time wasted. If you start applying some of it you are still further ahead than most ppl in their 30s who would have to start from scratch due to partying too much.
In my country there is mandatory army service so like 19 to 21/2 I’m in the army but I’m currently personally training and make a nice income with very little expenses
