Thanks, I haven't seen the nendo tests in a very long time, that was fun. Yes I believe they were an annual thing at the end of each school year ... I'm sure those who are more familiar with SG will explain everything.
These girls are all awesome. They meet up regularly, sometimes with Mori-sensei. They regularly support each other in their careers & are often seen attending BABYMETAL gigs. Nene (who was first here) is now a nurse & is very much still one of the gang.
Nendo test is a yearly thing. It started as one of few bonus video that they include in their album but people loves it so much that it became a tradition and an important event that happen each year. I think the 1st few nendo test was put on the schedule for the girls as a surprise or unknown recording session, but starting from nendo test 2013, they started to fully surprise the girls by doing pre-nendo test pranks. Later on, it became kinda a battle between them. The staff wants to prank them, and the girls are being cautious and try to guess when the test going to happen. They usually record it around the end of December to January, so the girls always got suspicious of the staff activities during that time. 😆 Muto Ayami, the 1st Student Council President and the only one who held the role for two years, started the tradition of 1st place being the class representative at the end of class. MoiMoi (Moa and Yui) is definitely very close with each other. And they has always been paired together in SG activities. We got to see the differences between Miyoshi Ayaka and Matsui Airi, the two tallest members (even in SG history I think). Ayaka gives off cool vibes while Airi is very quiet and shy. Mori Sensei has called them the "carrot and stick" duo. Mori Hayashi Sensei was a writer, director and comedian. His "task" as their teacher is to bring out the girls true personality. He also wrote skits for their concerts and the lyrics to SG's song "Mezase! Super Lady!", which is a member introduction song. It is definitely fun to watch each year since there's a different members each year. Can't wait to watch more. 🌸🌸🌸
Baby Moa and Yui are going to melt youre heart! Theres soo much awesome SG, Thx for the video, Hope youre having a good day/night. can't wait for more!
A really good SG video to start out with is the 2010-2011 documentary, its about 1H 40M long. youll learn alot about SG and the Girls. Excited for more
Horiuchi Marina (Front right) is easily my favorite in the Nendo tests that she's featured in. Absolutely hilarious. You haven't seen anything yet! It gets better!
Nice, finally diving into SG, let's goooo. You won't have a constant shortage for a long time ^^ looking forward to seeing you do the SG Sun episodes and the documentary hehe 🤟🦊🤟キツネだお🤟🦊🤟
For everyone to understand the chronology. Karen Girls was before. Sakura Gakuin emerged in 2010 and 2 of the 3 Karen Girls were chosen to be the first members. Sakura Gakuin is an idol group, but it is also a school. Everyone can only stay until they complete the 3rd year of high school. The oldest this year were 3 (Ayami Muto, Ayaka Mioshi, and Airi Matsui), both in their 2nd year of high school. Suzuka Nakamoto is also a high school student, but only in the first year. The remaining girls are from elementary school. Sugisaki Nenê, Iida Raura, Horiuche Marina and Hinata Sato (6th graduation). as mais jovem são Kiguchi Moa e Mizuno Yui (5º graduação).
Miyoshi Ayaka was a top teen model after SG and has become a great actress (IMO) having played the role of Ann in Netflix's "Alice in Borderlands" as well as starring in "Howling Village" and "Knuckle Girl", both of which are on Prime Video among other roles in TV shows and movies.
Ayami Muto has her own successful music career. You could start by reacting to one of her more recent singles, "DANG DANG 気になる" (DANG DANG Ki Ni Naru): ruclips.net/video/3sZBO_XwCkg/видео.html. That's on her official YT channel.
The Nendo test were part of the limited releases of their albums, since they released different versions you also have other stuff like the 2010 class battle.
Good stuff! Love the nendo tests! I think 2015 is the only year where there were two tests but, I am not certain. Keep an eye out for the pre nendo test pranks from Mori-sensei. Some are pretty elaborate. 2016 was pretty mean but, overall they are quite funny. You'll notice, I'm sure, that year by year the girls get more and more competitive. Looking forward to more!
I haven’t seen the nendo tests in a while and man, that was fun to watch! The Nendo tests are a yearly thing, usually done/recorded near the end of the school year (it ends in March, so this one was recorded somewhen in 2011, most likely). These are the OGs of SG: Ayami (student council president, former member of Karen Girls, now a solo artist/singer), Ayaka (the tallest member at the time, now a actress and model, most known for her role in Alice in Borderland, the tv show), Airi (the other tall, but very shy girl, now and actress and model), Suzuka (nothing to explain lol), Marina, Raura (was a singer and actress under Amuse until 2018, now independent actress), Nene (the smart one, now a nurse), Hinata (now an actress, singer, and model), and then of course, Yui and Moa. Moris sensei had a really good relationship with the girls and played a fantastic role as the teacher.
This is before Mariri “transferred in”. She joined at the same time as Yunano and Saki Ooga. This is even before Hana and Rinon joined the group. There were only ten members at this point.
The Nendo tests were the one of the more enjoyable parts of Sakura Gakuin, after their music and videos and concerts and weekly live shows and, well, actually.. I can't think of anything that wasn't enjoyable about them. I hope you continue to watch the rest of the tests, they were all a lot of fun. And don't forget to watch the pranks too! Starting in 2012 Mori sensei would prank them before surprising them with the test and some of them were pretty elaborate. They are all worth watching!
As far as I know, the answers of the girls were real. The answer "Frankie" = fu ra n ki was maybe related to a face on a medieval french (furan...) coin, so the translator wrote. You didn't see that remark, cuz it went by quickly. And yes, the nendo test happened yearly, sometimes with a dokkiri by Mori-sensei before them, but I guess you will see that all. Greets from Germany and enjoy!
Thanks for this reaction. It's been a while since I've seen it, but it will never get old. Sakura Gakuin is not a real school, but it is used as a teaching tool by the agency... so yeah, kind of in between. 🙂 2:25 he has some general idea what he wants to do, but he's mostly doing it on the fly. 4:38 actually, they had both at the same time. But this is their: 'disguise to avoid public notice'. They are like Superman, as was mentioned in Kill Bill vol 2. Superman was born Superman, which is different from all the other superheros. Babymetal is like Superman, they disguise themselves, they always have their power somewhere, but they act like normal people in every day life. 🙂 12:51 I think it's worse, I think she meant during all these holidays, maybe their is just a random normal work day. A good suggestion would be to add: Yui Mizuno's Depression, which is a short skit from 2011 done by the girls. To train their acting.
Thanks for answering my questions with timestamps it helps lol. That makes sense with the superman analogy! I really do love how Mori sensei just cracks up every time lol
@@Hokkyo11 he might teas them or be a nuisance but he's also trying to harden them up, for being in the entertainment industry. He roasts them with love. 🙂
Nendo literally means "Class". As in "Class of 2010". These are Class General knowledge tests. Random subjects. These were released as DVD extras in special edition versions of their yearly album. There are three versions of the album CD. Sa version, Ku version, and Ra versions. Each had a different DVD. Limited "Sa" edition DVD: Surprise! A Sudden End-of-Year Test No. Title Length 1. "Heavy Music Club Babymetal × Newspaper Club Scoopers Corner" (重音部 BABYMETAL×新聞部 SCOOPERS コーナー) 4. "Bonus Footage" (特典映像)
Now onto explaining certain aspects. Is it scripted? Yes and no. They have an outline and they do "act" a little at times, but the answers and reactions are genuine and unscripted and thus their personalities are exposed. Mori Sensei is not only playing the homeroom teacher, he is one of the principle writers (he is a certified script writer for other TV shows also) and one of the producers. Ayami Muto went on to become a City Pop singer. Ayaka Miyoshi became an actress and most recently was in the Netflix show Alice in Borderland. NOT before Babymetal, but rather at the same time. Remember, Babymetal was the Heavy music club. So it already exists within SG. If you're confused on the names, in Japan students are called by their family name. Ayami Muto will be called Muto by the teachers, Ayaka Miyoshi is called Miyoshi, Moa is called Kikuchi, Yui is called Mizuno, etc etc. It will take some time for you to get to know the girls and their names and nicknames. The next part is "quotes in Japanese culture" and the specific kanji associated with it. These are taught through elementary and "should" be common Japanese kanji knowledge.
