Great review and overlook of the camera and the app!. Only part you skipped was the additional rear camera, which sadly, is not advertised as a small mini camera but rather implies it is another stickable dashcam with a screen for the rear window. This is fine for me, I've just mounted mine on the car. But the box and images on Amazon show 2x screen devices, sorta misleading. Obviously not your fault lol. Great vid!
Just a few things that need correcting that you quoted in the video. The small cable is a data cable for connecting to your PC and as a charging cable goes can be used to charge the small internal battery before use. The live footage when connected to your phone can only be viewed when you’re next to the camera, it’s not possible remotely like you implied on your video when comparing it to a doorbell camera. The clip / pin device is to reset the camera. A couple of quick questions, have you tried using the SD card in a different card reader when transferring footage to your PC? A reviewer on Amazon found it worrying that he could only use the card reader supplied. It is well known that companies from China load spyware onto devices that plug into your computer and I smell a rat if the reviewer couldn’t use an alternative card reader. Also, is it possible to power the camera from an appropriate lead and power bank instead of the cigarette lighter adapter? I’ve had car battery issues when using devices plugged into my cigarette lighter for long periods. Thanks for posting and giving an insight of the camera but if you could answer my questions, that would be appreciated.
@@davange77 I ended up buying the Nextbase 622W. Great piece of kit but the Amazon voice software linking it to the dashcam is unfortunately hit and miss.
You can charge from any 5V Volt battery bank similar to a fast phone charger would be. Its just USB Type C power and a 5V DC cigarette lighter convertor. So any other 5V (or possibly less, but u may not sustain charge whilst driving and using) is usable :D

Sorry if you have already mentioned, im just excited to grab myself one now but i want to make sure my rear view camera will connect to it without any additional cables or wiring x
I bought a similar camera from Amazon. But without WIFI and without a color guide. A simple camera. I may have gotten an old camera from the warehouse. It has advantages but also disadvantages. To see the videos I have to remove the memory card. I have another camera but no screen. And she is nicer. She loudly announces actions. And it also has WIFI and you can download directly to your phone.

The wifi range from my phone to the A16w dash cam is about 15 ft possibly more & was still working ?

Hi I’ve just recently set this camera up however found the 12V cigarette socket isn’t charging the camera in my car when the engine is running.
Does this constantly have to be plugged in or does it work on battery ?
