      Unlike Long term loans such as home loans/mortgage loans, loan tenure for a typical personal loan is less.. Interest percentage/part in EMIs of personal loans may not be that huge in the initial years a compared to loan term loans as most of the PLs has max tenure of 60 months only..

      No nothing like that interest is taken every month from the amount deducted. Like I took 7.5 lakhs 4 years ago every month I used to pay 14500 in which 7000 was interest and the remaining 7500 was principal. Gradually interest decreases. Like when my principal amount was 3lakhs from 14500 only 3000 was interest and remaining 11500 was my principal.

    I consider prepaying the loans a disaster, let me explain how
    For ex you took a loan of 5 lakh for 5 years and suppose the interest on that loan is 50,000/- now after 3 years u think to repay that loan but at that time u will realise that out of that 50,000 around 45,000 of the interest payment is already taken by the bank and now out of the remaining 2 lakhs only 5,000 will be discounted from the principal. Then why would you prepay the loan amount when you have already paid most of the interest !! hun??

      Exactly. Also taking inflation into account it's a stupid idea in a long run, I guess. Suppose you took 15 years home loan and monthly EMI is 20k. At 2023 , 20k is a good amount, but 10 years down the line 20k won't be such a big amount. Also no point of closing it when you have paid most of the interest in the first couple of years, as you said. No offence and I am not a ninja in finance, but I don't know what she computed as "saving interest" when 90-95% of interest is already paid for in the first year itself.

    I had taken the loan of Rs.3L for 3 years tenure. The bank took initial EMIs as interest of 3 years in advance then the principal amount started to reduce. So basically They took the interest for 3 years in advance, will it still make sense to prepay the loan?

    • @Sayali.Sawant
      @Sayali.Sawant 2 года назад +4

      Nope. If all the interest is being taken from you then it doesn't make any sense to repay the loan. Rather than that invest the additional money somewhere and repay your pending amount in EMIs

    • @Pixiefairy783
      @Pixiefairy783 2 года назад +2

      you do have to repay the amount, minus the interests, why wouldn't you have to repay the rest? if you are going to repay the rest in emis then again i guess they will take interests on them, so its double the profit for the bank..i dont know what i am speaking but i think i am right, idk lol

    According to me, do not repay the loans... keep them as long as you can... later after few years you will realize that the money value is gone down

    Hello sir,
    I have seen your apple products discount videos.
    I want you to make a similar video on Bose .
    I had bought their earphones around 18 months ago.
    As soon as the 1st year ended the rubber covering started peeling of and all the buttons peeled off.
    I asked them for repairs they denied saying that they can only offer discount on a new product.
    So I want to buy a new product with Max discount. Also I am a student.
    In case it helps in discount.
    As the earphones had costed me a whopping ₹18,000.
    Please help
