Thank you! It’s a diamond cup disc made by Pferd. It’s around $350 and takes 6-8 months to get but we use them a lot at work. Also required a variable speed grinder because it needs to run slow. In hindsight I think I just needed to spend more time the first time around with a red scotchbrite pad. It only peeled on the edges. I have since discovered red scotchbrite discs that mount onto a 5” orbital sander that would probably work well!
Nice work. Sucks that you can’t remove the key for the lock unless it is locked. I tend to leave the compartments unlocked when I’m at the camp site, so I don’t have to have the keys on me at all times.
I am impressed with your work. Can I ask what kind of wheel did you use for scuffing up the gold?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing! Might need to look for a different lock cylinder eventually.
Can you tell me which locks you bought off of Amazon? I need two for my Rambler. Thanks!
